Agree. This is dumb and he wins with every new thread . . . until I get fed up and merge. :hi:

The only part I got to hear of the show today was this Vandy fan calling in whining about how classles UT fans are, 13 yr olds cussing his wife, students cussing old people, stuff getting thrown.... It amazes me how when your team loses the other team has the worst fans in the world.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic, but I never said anything about being a fan. I just simply stated he knows nothing about football. He is a great writer, and seems to be very intelligent (after all he has a law degree), but his football intelligence seems to be lacking.

This will go on all week. He's having too much fun with it. I will say this after today, i realize why he likes Franklin so much. He sounds about as much a jackazz as Franklin does. They're just alike.

Being sarcastic. I was commenting on the fact that Travis said his gramps or great-gramps played at UT and how that he's always been a fan.

You're missing the point. The caller was pointing out how this was Vandy's best year to beat TN would be on the road up and better next season. Travis in his typically style cut the caller off, hung up on him, and then said, "Really, with an impressive 7-5 record." Clay was forgetting about Vandy regressing next season.

Yeah, that was hilarious. The last interview I heard, not sure when it was, Dooley said something to Clay and he went silent. Since that time Clay has had it in for him.

I believe Clay to be very childish when someone make him look bad. He tries to destroy them with very childish antics. The thing is he will say nothing to Dooley when Dooley is on air with them but as soon as he is off clay starts the bashing.

I think it's becoming more and more obvious that he's making controversial comments so more people talk about him. The more people talk about him, the more people listen. The more people listen, the more his sponsors make.

And by the looks of this thread, it's working.

He said as much today on Chris Verson in Memphis this afternoon. He said he wanted the game to be controversial. He likes controversy and wants a WWE feeling to the hype before and after a game.

Regarding people's dislike of him, he said he couldn't care less. Either way it generates interest from people and they'll check out what's happening. It all generates more hits for his website. He said he loves telling Kentucky fans that they alone are responsible for the 3rd floor on his house.

The funny thing is even Chris Vernon was saying Travis was making himself sound like a pompous ass and he isn't making it any easier for Vernon to defend him to his friends.

Ignoring him is the only thing you can do.
