The rule is you cannot put recruits in a game time situation. i.e. mock interviews ala kiffen, team meeting during the game, on the sidelines with the team during the game, etc.

It's not a violation to have official visitors in the locker room before or after a game.

During is a violation.

It would be fun to discover that they were in the locker room immediately after Gordon's pick 6, having heard no whistle and thus knowing the game was over.

The confusion could be caused by Vandy sympathizers who 'thought they heard a whistle.'

That might take quite a few AA types to sort that out.:hi:

Add Clay Travis to the list of fellows that if I ever run into get a good old fashioned East TN dog whipping, his only words will be "Y'all quit."

If anyone believes that this staff intentionally broke such a rule, they need to have their head examined. After the NCAA affair, I am sure the staff is extremely careful. There would be no advantage anyway. If it was accidental it is a secondary at the worst.

Travis is just trying to improve his ratings and cover his ***.

How would Travis even know? I doubt he was allowed anywhere near the Tennessee locker room, might as well get used to that. All he'll have is speculation as i imagine he'll get the cold shoulder from this staff from now on.

He can go hang with Franklin and listen too how he's going to fix it.

Clay Travis is clueless. It was either this year or last year at the SEC media days. He was interviewing a Vandy player and asked the player about an Engineering class, trying to say that that Vandy players took "hard" classes and no other school had smart players. The players answer "It wasn't really an engineering class as it was a life skills class that all the athletes take."

ummm....Engineering class:question::question:

At some point everyone will realize that the way to shut Travis up is to ignore him. I have a 2 year old who cries when she wants attention, if you ignore her she stops. He knows tomorrow every ignorant Tennessee fan will listen and call in to his show. Do yourself a favor and don't listen and stop tweeting him.

its time for middle tennessee vol fans to boycott the 3HL advertisers

Their main advertisers are DuckHead and Uncle Bud's Catfish House so that won't be too hard. I had a pair of Duckheads back in 1990 and don't go to Uncle Bud's too much. I'm just not going to listen to them anymore, which is sad b/c the show used to be pretty good. Ever since Clay has started this vendetta against Dooley it is unbearable to listen to the show.

In a story on post-game locker room celebration where CDD said UT always kicks the s@#t out of Vandy, Travis said it "seems likely" that one of our recent commitments was in attendance. Whether a recruiting violation or not, why make the implication without evidence? That guy has no journalistic integrity at all.

What is with that guy?

I agree. It may just be me, but I get the impression that Blaine and Brent are growing weary of his schtick too.

Travis is the ultimate troll. Shame he has made money off the same fanbase he continues to bad mouth. Maybe he is just a scorned Fulmerite. idk, but i unfollowed him on Twitter, never bought a book, and will turn the radio anytime his whiny arse is on it.
