It says more about the stupidity of the administration calling the shots at that time and agreeing to those ridiculous terms IMO.

Amen brother. Who wants to hear Dooley try to spin his utter lack of effort and competence. He was given a golden opportunity. The sad thing is that he didn't just fail because he wasn't able (and he wasn't), but he didn't appreciate the opportunity enough to even try. Now we see why his mama calls him precious. He is a coddled, spoiled baby even as an adult. Good riddance. I will be watching the NBA Finals and US Open golf highlights.

Did I just read that right? You're more irritated by the guy who did 1/2 his job well, than you are the guy who did none of his job well? Not sure I follow that.

If we're being serious, I think Chesney is a Tennessee fan. He was born in Knoxville (graduated from Gibbs, as I recall) and has performed two songs about Tennessee football, one in honor of John Ward and another commemorating the '98 championship. He also narrated "The Color Orange - The Condredge Holloway Story" which aired in the 30 for 30 series. That's going to a lot of trouble to just pretend to be a fan... He will also, however, kiss up and wear the hat (or do the Gator chomp with Tebow) for whichever home crowd he is in front of on a given day. That rubs Vol fans the wrong way but he is a business man first.

Back to Dooley: Three specific games that should be brought up: LSU '10, Kentucky '11 and Missouri '12. He should also be asked to explain his apparent indifference to in-state talent and his logic in not signing a single O-lineman in an entire class. My guess is that Travis conducts a softball interview and addresses none of the above.

I'm with you. But respectfully disagree with the point that he didn't try. I think we got his very best. He was just in over his head and was as lost as a dog, trying to run a historical program like ours.

What is he gonna say? Not the truth, it would be an indictment of his administrative ability if he admits it was too much for him to handle.

He did so much wrong it speaks volumes of the recovery job CBJ has orchestrated.

2016 year of the Vol.

I just can't figure how he can "break silence" and it not be apparent that he just flat out stunk, scorched the earth, and had one of the worse records ever for a head coach at this school.

Who is he going to throw under the bus?

Clay was on Sports180 and seemed to mention that DD might be interested in becoming a HC again and this is the sports equivalent to an Oprah interview...at least according to Clay's ego

I dont think some of you all remember how honest Dooley was a lot of the time. Also he was a very good speaker and Clay Travis will pull no punches imo. Thats not the way he operates.
