I used to partake in the Travis hatred. I've checked out recently. I refuse to listen to 104.5, unless it's a vol radio network show and I unfollowed on twitter and facebook. it's the only message that you can send that has any effect. I urge everyone to do the same. Especially if you live in Nashville. I don't see how you stomach any of the programming on that station... Every show is laden with Vandy supporters and guys who are more concerned with their dinner at the palm with a local coach or making sure their precious seats and free meals are waiting for them in the pressbox, than presenting facts...
If you disagree with Travis and argue with him, then you're a moron and idiot and sip the dool-aid ( according to him ) ... and give him exactly what he wants.
It's sad to see him fall so far and resort to these tactics to get hits and listeners. I followed him religiously when he was on deadlyhippos.com and enjoyed his first couple of books. I think he got too close to Fulmer, while writing ' on rocky top ' and he is now a jaded, bitter, man, who tries to follow in the footsteps of a finebaum....
It will be quite amusing however, when Tennessee returns to the top of the league ( either with or without Dooley ) and how much Travis will be singing a different tune and everyone else in Nashville, trying to cozy up to the program and the coaches. If I were an SID, I'd have a list of people who did their best to write hatchet job after hatchet job on the University and black ball them, when we return to prominence.
