Clay Travis Destroys Dooley

I really want to give the guy a chance, because I know this team doesn't have as much talent as the teams that are destroying them. However, every week there is something else that is obviously some kind of coaching decision/responsibility that just blows my damn mind. Somebody on Twitter said he is Les Miles with a law degree. I don't know if I would go that far yet, but it's looking more and more like a valid comparison.

if you listen to CT's show he will be sure to remind you EVERY show that he wrote 2 books, his wife is was a titan cheerleader, and he is a lawyer. He is very proud of himself.

Clay Travis is a great listen on the radio, but he is a whiny UT fan.

Personally, I like Dooley. I hope he gets us where we want to be, but it's obvious we would rather have a different coach. Fact of the matter is, there wasn't exactly a line outside Hamilton's office to accept our job.

Now, Dooley is not to blame for all our woes this year. We are who we thought we were. I would just like a 'constant 10 men / personnel issues are my fault and are unacceptable' apology by him.

so equating the spread on the La Tech game this week to UT having substitution problems is valid?

That part was pretty ridiculous. The stuff about recruiting (and I know that Tennessee traditionally finishes strong) and the excuse making is pretty much dead on.

I listen quite a bit, and I have not heard him mention any of this unless a caller or guest brought it up. Sounds like you are bitter for some reason.

He's right. Kiffin had less offensive weapons to work with and he still took us to a 7 win season and a bowl game. The only thing I've enjoyed watching this year is the improvement of the oline

I would be proud of myself, too. The guy is a jackass, it is pretty amazing that he hasn't pissed somebody off enough to get shot yet.

That said, I agree with him on some of the things he has been saying.

Clay Travis is an a$$hat. We've lost to Oregon, Florida, @ LSU, @ Georgia, and Alabama (double-digit 'dogs in each game). Which of those teams were we supposed to beat? Is our O-line or D-line as good as any of those teams?

Bottom line is our program is down, but, at this point, it seems illogical to point the finger at Dooley. Wait until we play some teams where we match up a little better (Memphis, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Vanderbilt) before evaluating whether Dooley is a Yugo.

Agreed on that part.

dude what are you talking about? Kiffin had a decent QB, a first round RB, a first round DT, EB, and a freshman All American at OL

Clay Travis is an idiot. He looks at recruiting rankings to see where we are at instead of looking at their highlight videos. I believe this will be the best class we have signed in over 5 years. Depth is being helped out every position.

forget all that. You expect a hack like Travis to raise the flag on Fulmer, after having to fellate him to write one of his spectacular and insightful books?

I don't have any problem with him talking. I have problem with him assuming he has any credibility.

Yeah, go look at the "videos" for the 9 teams ahead of us! They probably look good too, don't you think?

First of all i said offense. Obviously the defense last year was better with Berry, Dan Williams and Monte. Hardesty wasn't a first rounder. He went at the end of the 2nd. I think Poole is just as good and will put up better numbers this year and next year. I also think we have WAY better recievers and a better Luke Stocker this year. And Crompton sucked, Kiffin just coached him up to look at half the field and be a manageabel SEC qb. As for the oline, it was better last year but I don't think it was leaps and bounds better. The olines been a pleasant suprise this year.
