Clay Helton

USC's athletic department is terrible. They left Helton in limbo in 2019, so that he was completely unable to recruit and ended up with something like the #80 class, thereby making it virtually impossible for him to succeed moving forward. Then they decide to keep him after that (very belatedly). Now, they suddenly decide to fire him after 1 loss?

I don't really have an opinion one way or another on Helton; I just know that I wouldn't have much confidence in USC's athletic department if I were a coach.

Helton will be on Bama's staff within a week or two. Where does USC go from here? Peterson? Kiffin? Fisher?

No cred. Of course it's yahoo sports.

Wittingham is not leaving Utah. There have been blue bloods along the way try to entice him, and he always says no. If he were to leave Utah, it would have happened already.

Peterson has already said no thank you up front.

James Franklin-- I could see him leaving if offered...at USC you don't have to beat Ohio State every season. You have Oregon, that's it for the most part. Why not leave for bigger stage with less competition.

Urban Meyer- Not happening, next.

Chris Petersen-- Was offered better jobs when he was coaching. Wanted to retire for family issues and don't see why he would return to a job like USC.

Joe Moorhead-- Might be a good hire but I'm guessing USC will want a bigger name hire.

Bob Stoops-- Interesting but don't see it

Matt Campbell-- Is a hot name for every job and with what has become of the B12 I could see him moving on to the bigger program with much better pay.

PJ Fleck-- Honestly don't know why his names continues to pop up for every open job. If your Fleck of course you would leave for USC over Minny.

Kyle Whittingham-- Honestly I think at this point Utah is a much better program in most ways than USC. Money would be the reason to leave.

Greg Schiano--- Honestly?
