Did anyone else see Clawson when the camera showed him up in the booth just after InCrompotent had third and four and threw the ball almost up into the stands? He reared back in his chair and put his hands behind his head as if to say "I have seen enough of this crap" He must have been thinking Auburn is trying to give us this game and all we have to do is get a couple of first downs kick a field goal and win the game. I am sure he is also thinking" What have I gotten myself into" He looked almost as frustrated as I felt.

ya i saw it, felt bad for him, he can't run his offense due to the most idiotic qb to ever walk the face of the earth

I actually got a small bit of joy out of it, because I had just done the same thing on the couch while watching the play and told my wife that at least we both had the same reaction

I honestly do feel bad for Clawson...I want to see a QB who can grasp his style of play and see what he can do...Seems Crompton is throwing him under the bus and making him look like a bad coach

I'm the same way, I dont blame Clawson for any of this.

I don't blame Crompton's woes on his intellect. I believe the kid is just so damn excited and nervous and he can't think straight. If he calms himself down, which he hasn't been able to do so far, he'll be ok. But, I'm not holding my breath that this kid can keep his emotions in check.

I feel for Crompton too. He did pay his dues. He has worked hard. Contrary to posts here, he's apparently a bright guy.

However he isn't getting the job done. It looks like he just doesn't have the instincts and vision to make plays as a QB. It is a shame. He's got all the physical tools... and probably does understand the O. He just can't read the plays as they're happening.

We shoulda killed auburn
we had the ball like 5 times on there 40 yard line..
clawson knows that we shoulda won.. and he was soo aggravated..
what did we have, like 7 in a row 3 and outs??? thats messed up..

and most of them were when we had 2-3 or 3rd and short.. crompton cant even make a 5 yard pass.. thats f'n horrible mann..

I like the optimism here, but don't buy it for a second.

I hate to pile on the guy but it has become apparent that he just isn't able to do the job for a team playing in the SEC. We need to make a change and let one of the younger guys play this year and get some experience so we might have a chance next year.

I am not sure who is the dumbest Crompton or Fulmer. Surely Fulmer has seen the same things we have seen and has stayed with Crompton way too long. If I had someone about to cost me my livelihood I would have pulled the trigger long before now and at least started getting a back-up ready at the Florida halftime.

I rly think it's not Clawson's fault, it's Crompton

Clawson hasn't been perfect, but there are definitely some growing pains expected with calling games on a major stage. I feel like there has been improvement from week to week as far as his scheme goes. Crompton, on the other hand, looks like he has regressed if anything. It has become more and more obvious each week that he doesn't have what it takes for one reason or another. I'm definitely taking a wait and see approach with Clawson, because he might end up panning out, but I think Crompton is a lost cause.

If you did your research Clawson has run just about every offense there is depending on the personnel he had at the differnent schools. We are not in a "spread" offense because we don't have the personnel. We can't run it because people load the box knowing we can't throw it successfully. Give the guy a break, he will produce given the personnel, and if you think we have all the pieces needed for this puzzle you are definately in denial.

I don't see how he could ever get his head right after these losses even with all the talent in the world.

As for Clawson, we seem to be able to run the ball, and, when we do find ourselves in a 3rd and 4 or 5 situation, he calls the right play, but we can't execute.
