Clawson to UTC?

Cut would have played Coleman and I guarantee he would have beaten UCLA, WY, and probably UGA. Clawson's play calling ability is pathetic. His eyes looked like half dollars against Florida, he isnt ready for this level yet.

Maybe this experience will help him in the future though, or if the new coach retains him (hopefully not) maybe he will turn out alright. But, to me, he hasnt shown me anything this year. His scheming and the whole system looks like a high school program, I don't think anyone on the team bought into what he wants to do.

Stretch Armstrong couldn't touch that statement. :eek:lol:

I guess it's sad to understand that Cutty has forgotten more about football than Clawson will ever know. He shouldnt have been hired here, and the aftermath is the worst offense TN has ever had. How anyone can say this guy is a good coach is beyond me.

Just a guess but I bet they are looking at his career and not just one year.

Clawson is a good coach and will be fine when he has FULL control and is able to bring in the players he needs for the offense he wasn't to run.

Being a UTC alumni, I welcome the idea of Clawson or Sanders or anyone who does have some victories in thier bag wether they are in Div. 2 or wherever.

I am sure that Clawson would be a dynamite coach on the DII level. UTC would be a great place for him.

Or perhaps, he could have used more analytical QB's with the skills to use what they have learned. That's a concept that most fail to understand.

There's more on the bench and one more in the defensive backfield. All of which were pretty touted in HS. Guess they're ALL flops. Nothing to do with coaching, nothing.

Ever heard of playing the hand you are dealt?

I would be willing to bet he isnt the only coach that has walked into something like this before. Being a coach you are suppose to coach to the players you have, he tried to put "his" offense (whatever it is) on a team that is not ready. Instead, why didnt he use an offense that the team was accustomed to until he got his players? That would have shown me more coaching ability than what he has done. I wish Dave the best, but I think he was just out of his level.

Some coaches are DII and high school coaches, no shame in that. I think Dave will do great things at the DII level but, unfortunately thats where it ends for him. All my opinion of course.

Coleman - Wish we could see if he could help.

Berry - Wants to play but plays on defense at a position that if he gets hurt playing offense becomes the biggest mistake that Fulmer ever made.

Crompton and Stephens - Stephens has a better arm than Cromp and has more of a fire about him, but is still not the answer.

It's not the ability to learn that is keeping these QB's down, it's the ability to perform. That's something the coaches can't do anything about when it comes to gameday.

sorry, a few more questions but i couldn't resist.

who is going to play safety?

Doozer and Hater should've played more football.

1. what does this have to do with anything?
2. how do you know i didn't?

I hope Clawson goes to a D1 school, so we can really compare what he does in the future to how he destroyed our offense

Crompton played sporadically over the last two years, and Clawson's had all spring to coach him, or develop someone else..

Fulmer told Clawson that Crompton would start. He didn't have much of a choice. Plus, everyone that watched the spring and fall has said that the offenses were night and day.
