Clawson to UTC?

And they still are with a new staff. His offense scored 1 (one, Uno, Un) td against Wyoming (almost 2 for). Remember when we'd put up 70 on em? I would have taken 1/3 of that.

What I've seen is an under coached set of WR's who can't get open, an O line that has no ability to block, even with his bizarre flip flop style, and an under used set of TE's that most coaches would love to have. Yes our QB's suck, but he's the QB coach right? Crompton couldn't hand the ball off, fumbled the snap, and was throwning passes to wr's ankles and that was in the first game.

Have you been to Neyland Stadium this year?

funny, because what i've seen is incompetent QBs who can't find the wide open receivers. trust me, they're there. look harder.

can't really blame Clawson for the fact that the QBs he had we he got here were inept.

I agree. Our O-line never blocked anybody and there have been open receivers that the qb's didn't even look at. I doubt that the scheme is completely unsound, we just never executed it properly.

He'll probably catch on somewhere else.

I don’t think that Clawson really had a chance and just got put in the wrong place at the wrong time. What is wrong with the Tennessee program has been growing over the last 5 years or so. I wish the man nothing but better luck with is next position as this one was doomed to fail.

I posted after his hire that CPF either hired his replacement or the man that would get him fired. It was actually a win win proposition....:whistling:

No. I watched the games on television or in person. What is this film you speak of? You go to the movies to watch the games?

Undercoached wr's.. catchable balls dropped, running backwards and losing first down yardage, running wrong routes, not blocking downfield. Did I miss something.

BTW I'm not, in any way, taking up for our QB's they're lousy too.

The receivers running wide open, the tight ends that are supposedly great dropping passes left and right and an OL that could not run block against SEC teams last season.

Running wide open after the qb is on his back or running for his life, maybe. Honestly, how many times has the reciever been running wide open? Stocker had one bad game. Rogers is the drop master, Taylor is vying for his title, Moore has one route (albeit a good one), and Briscoe likes to run backwards (and no I don't think he got lousy in one year). I have no problems with GJ.

I'd say about 70% of the passing plays. Receiver play goes hand in hand with miserable QB play.

If a receiver is open and the QB doesn't see him whose fault is it?

I think there are only three, maybe four of us who haven't thrown Dave under the bus..

Ohio Vol is another. I'm good with my company on this.

He'll be a head coach and win a lot of games within the next 5 years.

I certainly agree. There is two positives to this situation.

1: Clawson gets a new head coaching job and lands on his feet.

2: He is FAR away from the other SEC schools.

He is definately one of the new VERY bright offensive minds in football.
