Did anyone hear on the pre-game show on Vol Network yesterday where they were talking about Clawson being gone after this season regardless of TN's record at the end of the year. Does anyone know more about it? Was it just speculation? I'm curious.

If the rumors about his feelings towards being lied to when he was brought in, are true, then it wouldn't surprise me if he just left after this year.... A firing wouldn't surprise me either....

yes i heard it. i think it is safe to say that just about any scenario that the media comes up with, or a scenario that anyone else who is outside of the program comes up with, is speculation.

they theorized that if CPF goes, clawson is out when the new HC brings in his own OC.

if CPF stays, clawson goes as the root cause of our problems this year.

either way, clawson is gone.

it sounded to me like tim irwin was saying the same thing on this morning's radio program with jimmy hyams. irwin seemed to think that getting rid of clawson, getting rid of slade, and keeping CPF is the best plan going forward.

so clawson's exit seems to have some popularity, but that does not make it true.

IMO the chance of a new oc is more possible than a new hc. Lastyear, didnt alot of peolple turn down the oc job? Not sure who would want to come next year.

You need to start at the Head of the problem to cure it. Clawson has been brought into a horrible situation. he might be gone but if he does I hope its beacause we have a new coach bringing in his own assisitants. I would hate to think fulmer got away with throwing another assisant under the bus to save himself again this year.

further media speculation that if allowed to pick his own support staff, and given a sizeable raise, kippy brown would be interested in the OC job.

The problems will not be cured until Fulmer is shown the door with most of this staff, if not all.

To allow cpf to throw clawson under the bus to save his job, well it would just show that the UTAD is being run by morons.

Heck if you were overidden and led to believe you were really the OC , Heck I would try to get me an offensive job with NFL team that way you could move on up, But Leave he will after the season, unless the new staff want to retain his services.......But I think the Crompton debacle was the deal breaker..............

If Fulmer fires Clawson to save his job, then Fulmer would have hit the lowest of lows. Fulmer is the most arrogant coach and if he fires Clawson, it shows he has zero integrity.

We actually dropped in the offensive rankings, and you don't think Clawson has any responsibility

We're now 108th in scoring offense and 104th in Total offense

That's down from last week, 97th Total and 103rd in scoring

We can only drop to 119, so let's see where we're at after Bama rolls in

Here's a positive Wyoming is actually 119 in scoring offense, so Homecoming should be an offensive showcase

Getting rid of Clawson won't do anything but send a mix signal to everyone out there. You have one year to fix it or you're fired. By the way you don't use your system you use mine and you have to have pre-approval on everything. Oh yea that's a good job to have.

I don't know how much blame i can put on dave clawson, if he actually came to cpf requesting switching qb's before the season even got started. If its true, i find it hard to lay much blame at the feet of dave clawson.

Fulmer is invloved in the offense. To what extent I am not sure. However if most of the problem is with clawson and fulmer has done nothing to correct it he is just as much to blame.

The buck stops at the top, always has.
The days of throwing guys under the bus should be about over, its getting crowded down there.
