Clausen Brothers?

Saban is a jerk. And he wins. Being a jerk is irrelevant in being a good coach.

Nice guys finish last. That's why Tennessee fans tend to whine "His personality won't fit...he is a jerk don't want...blah blah blah..."

Yet we suck and have had to of the nicest HC's for 8 years now and going back to the Fulmer years as well....outside of Mark Richt all of our rivals have had and currently have complete ass hat HC's but their teams played with arrogance and cockiness just like their persona.

Sure would be nice to have a flat out jerk that knows how to win here...I'd love to be arrogant and cocky rocking my Tennessee gear again...instead I wear it like it has a scarlet letter on it.

C. Clausen is probably one of the most underrated QBs to ever play here.

Casey was my favorite vol growing up! The ice man! Just barely missed the Manning Era as I didnt really get into football until I was 10/11.

I'm not sure where you get your info on coach behavior, but I can assure you that Dooley was a pompous jackass, and I've heard plenty of stories to believe that CBJ *might* have a slightly different persona when the cameras are off.

Don't even get me started on Jimmy Clausen and the Notre Dame legend that never was. Showing up in a stretch Hummer limousine at the College Football Hall of Fame to announce his commitment was ridiculous. Momma and Papa Clausen should have talked some since into him from the start.

They had lost their minds right along with him at that point. He was at "The Oaks" a private school out around Thousand Oaks north of LA. I "think" Casey may have been his QB coach sort of on a volunteer basis, could be my recollection is faulty. I lived not to far away then in the South Bay. Went to see him play once and his team had D1 talent all over the place from which he benefited from as we all now know. The best player on his team actually was not him but Wendell Tyler's son, former UCLA & NFL star. The Oaks still does have a lot of talent as do many of the private high schools in SoCal Mater Dei, etc etc etc. However a transfer has occurred the real power where big time players go is Bishop Gorman High in Las Vegas. Casey coaches at Calabasas and to his credit has turned them from an annual doormat into a credible high school team.

Casey one of my top 5 favorite Vols of all time. Rick holds a place in Big Orange lore too for that epic comeback @ LSU. I was disappointed at the time when jimmy picked ND over UT, but his douche level is without equal

No "we" don't. Hiring Richt means you give up all aspirations of ever entering a stadium and playing for a National Championship.

You really think we will play for a national championship in your lifetime, and you sound young like maybe eleven or twelve, son. I just want to get back to beating the bottom feeders in the league.

It appears like you have trouble paying attention to detail. I have as many stars in years here as you do which would make me 2 or 3 years of age when I began posting using this handle. Yes I do believe we will play for a NC in my lifetime again. I had people in my graduating class playing with Condredge on The Hill if that helps you. Perhaps you'll take a suggestion but I doubt it. You can raise your like to post ratio significantly simply by not making silly and futile attempts to be insulting.

Casey, yes. Rick, no. I knew Rick when we were at UT. Grade A jerk. His true colors came out after he won that LSU game.

I had several classes with Rick and worked out with our respective teams at the same time in the complex. He was a good dude and a nice guy. Just because you guys didn’t hit it off doesn’t mean he’s dumb or a jerk. We athletes liked him.
