Classless...

they were also running one player out on defense when we were set so as to stop our hurry up offense. the offical would leave his hand on the ball till they had substituted.

They were booing because they aren't actually injured. You don't find it interesting that they only kept getting injured when we were driving? The last dude literally taunted the crowd as he got up. Nah, it was fake as hell. **** that ****, I would have booed too after about the third one in one drive.

Remember that dude for Bowling Green last year? Good stuff!

I'm watching it again and D. Reed for App State is walking around fine after a play he barely moved in. He looks over at the sidelines and just sits down as the camera is moving away from him. He stops play for about a minute before he gets up and walks off.

He clearly wasn't injured and was coached to sit down.

I don't have a problem with that strategy. Butch should have stopped subbing ON EVERY PLAY as a response. Faking injuries was bush league though.

Would you explain this? I thought the offense did not have to wait on the defense etc. I saw the stalls in the game, called them...and I'm no expert...the guy next to me was asking what happened, he was watching the appy player and said the guy just sat down. I told him, in soccer it would be called a magic sponge injury. But Josh would be begging the ref to let them play, and the guy would stand there with his hand half way up coleman's rear refusing to let play start. (Maybe partially explains coleman's play? He was afraid the ref was a Pen State grad?) But just what is the rule on this? Please, please someone explain.

You realize they were boo'ing because it looked like App State was trying to purposely get "injured" to slow our momentum, right?

Not saying that was the case, but I can understand how the crowd would feel that way.

Then they need to shut their mouths when they don't know. Just look at the Olympics and you will see how injuries can play out with different people. The runner who stood up, helped anther up, appeared fine, and then collapsed again. Different things affect others in different ways. Just take the free timeout, the water, and enjoy the next play without the injured player.

If the offense subs, the refs hold the ball to give the defense a chance to sub. Tennessee subbed frequently and would get to the line, but then the refs stand over the ball to give the defense the same opportunity.

Well when the guys kept going down with cramps, then walking away just fine and we're trying to go no huddle, what do you expect? Specially when one guy literally could've rolled over to get out of bounds, but then 15 seconds later walks away just fine.

Could've rolled over to get out of bounds?......That would be the same as just rolling over.....I am sure that he is not thinking what he could do to slow the game. No conspiracy here. Just conspiracy minded people. Go Vols.

There were a lot of fans booing when App State had guys go down with injuries. I've never been more embarrassed to be associated with the same fans that booed injured players.

I know emotions were high, but that isn't an excuse. I really hope that when things get tough in future games Vol fans show a little class, especially when players go down with injuries.

Those weren't injuries. They were stall tactics. That is what people were booing, and they should. Enjoy that high horse...

Dooley wins at LSU in 2010 if that crew was in Baton Rouge that day.

I'm surprised that no one has pointed out that our players didn't seem to have any significant cramping issues along with their offense having no issues. If the weather in Boone did not prepare them for game conditions, their staff should have done a better job with medical prep. The bottom line is no matter how well App State played in this game, they do not have the depth to compete with good SEC teams and it showed in the fact that they did not score after the 8 minute mark of the second quarter while we went on to score 17 points to win. Our Defense gutted out a win while their defense faked injuries to cover the disparity in depth!

I did see one of the players for Appy make a tackle then got up look to the sideline for another play he then sat down and just rubbed his calf. this was after a few first downs in a row

More flops than your average soccer game. They were taking dives to kill momentum. The crowd was right to call out their BS with boos.

The cramps were faked. Consecutive plays, all different players, all but like one on D. It was definitely a part of their game plan. Teams have been doing this the last few years, happens to Oregon all the time.

It was ridiculous. The league needs to make a rule to stop this. (If you are injured you have to sit out for three plays??) It was so obvious.. One guy was right next to their sideline and could have easily rolled over. Another one got up and waved. It was always when our team got momentum.

Cramps are not injuries
