You are truly an idiot and an example of what is wrong with this entire society now. You are probably ok with burning buildings and autonomous zones. I have seen the effect of thrown objects by fans injuring people. It happened when I was in the band when the same type of morons would throw cups of ice "in protest" from the upper deck. There were several bloodied fans who were guilty of nothing else that having a seat in the line of fire of an idiot! My girlfriend, who played trumpet, got hit in the back of the head and busted her mouth wide open. You justifying this and claiming it will help the program is beyond dumb. You should change your screen name to the title of this thread.

Was there a lot of BS in the game? Absolutely! But it didn’t justify that behavior. I truly wouldn’t want to know the response if Kiffin or an official had been shot on the field.

This too shall pass, will only be in the news cycle a little while. UT's fans and traditions were already tarnished so this is nothing new, just a different incident involving a program that cannot win big anymore. Players played hard yesterday, coaches and refs let them down. Fans were rocking all night...Also, why do you guys care what Tennessee's reputation is? Seriously, its not like any one of you can fix or amend it. College football is an emotional, greed laced game, fans aka fanatics will always border on insanity. What happened last night is embarrassing ....but can UT be embarrassed any more than the ineptitude of the football program the past 16 years?

I am 35 from Knoxville, why would I know what that is or be shamed by not knowing? That is why I ask questions. I am not scared to learn something I do not know. Do I lose your sympathy now that I know what it is? I am needy and require unconditional sympathy

Football fans have done worse all over. If you want to dictate fan behavior why not just ban UT football all together. I'd argue that the fans that want to cry about what happened at the game are just as big of an idiot as the ones throwing stuff on the field. Let it go, it wasn't a big deal.

I'm embarrassed.

Has the SEC announced the fine yet? Since fans rushing the field is $250,000 and this is much worse, we will probably see something bigger. Wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be $500k to $1 million range.

ESPN keeps going on about the "golf ball thrown at Lane Kiffin" when the sad reality is that it actually was thrown at an official standing 30 yards away. Rumor has it that it was launched by one of our recent former QBs. :(

I’m not trying to dictate fan behavior. Can you point out where I did?

But I will say that actions have consequences. And UT will ultimately pay the price for what happened. Not the idiots responsible, but UT.

No big deal to you. Very big deal to me. Difference of opinion. That’s it.
