I am sure I am not the onnly one who noticed them chanting when X Mitchell got hurt. That was a chilling moment even in my living room and you can bet that Neyland wouldnt be rockin to SEC football with one of their players lying motionless on the field.

It was a helluva game but that moment right their turned me sour about this game. :realmad::realmad::realmad::furious3:

C'mon, they had to learn to be loud this week...maybe they need to learn sportsmanship.

Now, with the Bammers last year, THAT'S another story entirely.

I Agree
Standard Pac 10 People
Yeah, and people in the south are so much better with debris from the fans (not tree people) being tossed at places like the field, or the race track.

Get real. There are a-hole fans everywhere, not just the west coast.

The difference is that Cal has never won anything. That's why they acted like a-holes tonight.
Every play they pounded their chests and acted like a bunch of retards.
If we would've won...we'd have been excited of course...but, been there before.
Cal is experiencing winning for the first time.

Why is pumping your chest acting like an a-hole? Both teams made this game about pride, this year and last year. I see the same thing, nation-wide, every year.

That is very true.

Don't be too angry. Days like this don't come often for them.

Fans were cheering because they were excited about getting a V. After they realized a player was down, they were very classy.

No - being at the game I can approve that they were very classless inside Memorial stadium - but on the way out on the BART they were very quiet for a team that had just won. Pansies.

On the bright side - the tree huggers loved us UT fans....

Trust me, Cal people aren't the type to cheer when someone goes down. I was there - we didn't even know someone was down until quite a bit into it. It was at the far corner of the field, near the sideline, we couldn't see nothing. Yeah, we're fresh to football, so we weren't as quick to pick up on the fact that play was being held up and something was wrong. Once we did figure it out though, we held our breaths and applauded three times every time we thought the player had gotten up and was moving.

I think they were mostly chanting "Pac-10 football!" or "Na-na-na-na, hey hey hey! Goodbye!" chants to the dispersing Tennessee fans on the corners. They weren't aware of the severity of the injury until a few minutes later, and it was at a tough angle for the alumni or the student section to see.

There was apparently one drunken fool who started rambling "Shoot him like a horse!" in the Student Section, but he was quickly shut up. We're not Philadelphia. Sorry if it looked that way.

You do realize that 'Pac-10 football's' #2 team beat the SEC's #6 team in a good, close game right? Pac-10 still can't touch the SEC....

Thanks for being so gracious and not sore losers. All of a sudden you guys went from being #2 in the SEC to #6, just because you lost to a good PAC-10 team? Ok.

no one said we were the #2 SEC team... The consensus is that Florida will win the SEC east and we would finish anywhere from 2-4.... Yes there was some hope by a lot of UT fans that we could atleast win the SECE this year.. but why does that make us the #2 team in the SEC when we hadn't even played a game yet?

Do some research buddy.

SEC > Pac 10......

There is no doubt we are not the #2 SEC team after watching our D-line in particular struggle like that and watching our running game get stuffed several times by the worst D-line we will see all year (other than ASU).

What I'm saying is that you all have been saying you're the #2 SEC team on this board, that you're so good, etc. - and now that you've lost, it's "Oh, we're not really that good after all. We don't want to admit that we got beat by a good Cal team."
You're right, you haven't played a conference game yet, so you saying you're the #6 team is just as unfounded as you guys saying you were #2 before. Stop being an SEC homer.

Honestly - WAKE UP... this is VOLnation.

Of course there are going to be major homers who think we are going to be SEC champions every year. Most of us realized we were in for another 9-3 or 8-4 type season... obviously NOT the record of a top 4 SEC team.

People are obviously in sour spirits right now so come back in a week.

We got beat by a 'good' team otherwise you wouldn't have been ranked. But as most people could see - it was our mistakes that screwed us over. Our D-lines and O-line were way overhyped by the coaches and practice reports during fall camp..
