Seems like the players and recruits really like the smokey grays.
Im trying to forget the Butch era. My latest memory of the smoky grays is 41-0.
EXACTLY!
If Pruitt is smart hell say:
1. The last time weve wore those, we got smoked 41-0.
2. The next time we wear them, the game broadcasters will be sure to bring up the last time Tennessee wore these uniforms was a disaster. Why would we subject our program to that sort of national negativity?
3. Im not here to promote gimmicks or slogans.
I dont care about fantasy uniforms or setting attendance records at the Battle of Bristol against some mediocre team, or anything remotely similar.
4. Im here to build this football program, win games, win the division, and win the conference.
5. So you can wipe your a** with those uniforms. Aight?
And the last time we wore Orange & White we got our A$$ handed to us by Vandy.
I don't waste too much time worrying about what announcers may say. All that matters is what the scoreboard says.
You know who loves them? Players and recruits. Its obviously CJP's call, but this can't be overstated enough.

I really like the grey uniforms. Only reason I can see for completely doing away with them is if Fulmer and CJP just want to do away completely with ANYTHING that Butch & Co. had a hand in.
The Smokey Greys are loved by the players and were voted one of the best UNIs 2 years ago. They are something that attracts kids and I say you let the team vote on it.
I personally wish they would have worn them more!
