CJP and recruiting

After watching today's game, it's safe to say CJP knew what we needed. Our class is loaded with corners and linemen on both sides. What else do you think we need?
Linebackers. Speed rushers. Tight ends that dont disappear (even if the aren't juco #1 recruits.) Stronger Guards. Depth everywhere. Speed at returner.

Right now, looking at our team, we have major speed deficiencies in the secondary. He is playing freshmen to get them ready for next season. We return all of our O and most of our D. 6-6 or 7-5 if we pull an upset. Long year, but it could be fun to watch it progress. Disappointing day, but WVU played well. They aren't a playoff team (Don't tell WVMule) but kudos. Watching Bama right now beat up on Louisville. They have a different kind of speed compared to our guys. We'll get there.

It hit me watching the game, that we didn’t have one player who was a difference maker, where wvu had like 12 tackles behind LOS and we helped yet another player have a career record day.

Maybe that’s my biggest sign for improvement...when teams and individuals no longer set scoring or individual career stats against UT.

Olinemen, dlinemen, linebackers, got the rest. Just 20 players short if you don't consider depth a factor.

The sooner Butch's soft azz players on defense leaves, and Pruitt's players get in the better we will be.

Our team looks bigger and more athletic as a whole. I'm pleasantly surprised to see how our conditioning program has changed the boys in physicality. Did anyone go down other than Chandler today?

Someone mentioned on here that we need speed, and I agree. I think we have power, but we just lack the burst of someone like Kamara on either side of the ball. It always amazes me to see how fast UF secondary players on defense are, even if they weren't highly coveted out of high school. Always seemed to cover sideline to sideline like they were on fire. Thats what we need.

Playing 0 coverage burnt us a few times today. If CJP want to run man and pressure we need CBs that can hold up on the island.

It looked like they were thinking too much today. Hope that improves over the season.

what doesn't? The zero coverage reffers to us playing man to man on the back end. Need pressure from the front 7 in order to not get torched.
