CJH replacement

Kiffin has not accomplished anything Heupel hasn’t. And CJH doesn’t have the baggage or predatory behavior of harassing and sleeping with co eds
First of all, no one has confirmed that he slept with students. Second of all, predatory is a label that should be assessed with the Epstein circle. The ones running free and that I hope are exposed, commit suicide or die. We cannot afford to not know the difference between allegations of a coach sleeping with promiscuous, young students and a ring of wealthy men and women luring and paying for sex with lost, underaged women—some as young as 11… and then IMO ruining the life of the bravest of those victims.

Second, Lane Kiffin coached in a much tougher division and has had a much tougher schedule, he achieved three ten win seasons in that tougher schedule within his first 5 years to Josh’s 2two and just got his second 11+ win (Josh willl be here next year, so you can come back and compare his results next year to Kiffin’s results this year if it matters that much to you)), he has beaten Tennessee head to head and he did it with a lower NIL budget and at Ole Miss—a team that has historically had a weak brand in college football, a weaker team than Tennessee and has been bottom of the barrel in the SEC. He HAS done more than Heupel.

Also, we are watching first-hand the impact Golesh had on Huepel’s success. I do not think we are the same team without Golesh, and I would not be surprised if Golesh beats TN next year. He knows both offense and defense—unlike Huepel AND Kiffin, and our offense was much more creative than what we have seen since he left.

My point? I’m not sure what we saw was Huepel’s impact as much as it was Golesh’s.

When you consider all the variables and nuances, Kiffin has done more with less and he will do far more at LSU than anyone has to this point and than Josh would be able to.

I have always been in Josh’s corner and have argued with plenty of people in his favor, but I also have always known Kiffin was the better hire. Tennessee would have won a national title by now, had it hired Kiffin—who has changed and has grown up.

Firthermore, all of this ridicule of Kiffin and how he handled the LSU situation is ridiculous if my understanding of the events that unfolded are true.

Kiffin, unlike many other coaches, did not lie about his interest. Kiffin wanted to coach his players, they would not let him and for understandable reasons. Kiffin let Ole Miss have the last word. They had 6 years under Kiffin. I’m sure a lot of people made a lot of money they weren’t making before him. They wouldn’t match LSU’s NIL, or their salaries. They aren’t LSU and are tougher to recruit to—which is what any coach prefers to do sans mastering the transfer portal. So, he left and took coaches with him JUST LIKE DANNY AND HUEPEL did to UCF.

The reality is, there is no way to leave for a rival without ridicule in this sport.

I appreciate your backing Huepel as I have for so long. I also thought we made a mistake in letting go of Fulmer, but until something changes, I am reverting back to my original assessment that Huepel I would help us rebuild our program to point of stability and achieve some success, but he is isn’t looking like a guy who will get us to the promised land. He isn’t making proper staff adjustments. He lost his best coach fast who was a big part of that and replaced him with Halzle for crying out loud. We would never have seen the success with Hooker had Milton not gotten injured, and we never would have had the playoff birth last year had we not benefited from one of the easiest schedules in the SEC.

Do we fire him, and without a plan, like we did with Fulmer? For God’s sake, no. But when I look at the facts more closely, he is no Kiffin. Higher character? Sure. But I don’t think Kiffin is a predator either.

- He has absolutely slept with those students, have you seen the now SEVEN different girls with evidence? He asked a student to come spend the night with him and bring her bag the night they lost to Florida and to lie to her boyfriend...you can keep acting like this behavior doesn't matter but it IS creepy for a 50 year old man and a HC of your program to do (MULTIPLE TIMES and multiple locations)
- Lane didn't do anything when there were divisions, he has had an easier schedule than CJH and still have had one similiar season to the playoffs. Check out Kiffin's record against top 25 and top 10 teams, it's much worst than Josh's
- Lane also has now left 4 programs and an NFL team in shambles and was fired or left toxic burning it down on the way out every time. He's not even worth it for someone who has never won a title of any kind
- Golesh isn't beating UT next year, he is a mediocre HC at best but a good OC for sure. He will be fired in 3 years...and for "someone who knows defense", he sure loses to AAC teams with a pulse a lot that are less talented teams...he finished 5th in the AAC...with the biggest NIL budget in G5.
- Kiffin will choke and burn at LSU and leave again
- Kiffin is an absolute liar and lied every step of the way from the "players meeting" which was recorded showing he lied to his press conference..

Point one, no I haven’t. I am reading no one has proven anything. But, I’m a truth seeker and truth seekers have to be willing to be wrong. Cite the source for me, because I did look and didn’t find anything. I’ve looked twice and have seen nothing other than this:

There are
no reliable news reports or public allegations of Lane Kiffin ever making a sexual or romantic "pass" at a student. The search results contain no information to support such a claim.
Recent news coverage around Kiffin and students has focused on:
  • Kiffin throwing a football into the Ole Miss student section during a game in November 2025.
  • A 2023 lawsuit filed by a former football player, DeSanto Rollins, alleging mistreatment regarding his mental health, which did not involve any claims of a "pass" at a student.
  • Angry Ole Miss students and fans reportedly attempting to run Kiffin's car off the road and gathering at the airport after he left for the LSU coaching job in December 2025.
No credible sources indicate any such incident as described in the user query has ever occurred or been reported.

Also, Kiffin has more top 25 wins since st Ole Miss. The Arkansas teams he beat, beat Tennessee btw, and again he won head to head.

Josh Heupel
has more wins against ranked opponents in the SEC, with a record of 12-12 compared to Lane Kiffin's record of 13-25 in his head coaching career (spanning multiple schools). Heupel's record is for his time at Tennessee, where he has a career record of 12-12 against Top 25 opponents, and he is 11-11 in the 2020s. Kiffin's 13 wins include his time at Ole Miss, which is the SEC portion of his career.

Yeah Lane left the Raiders and then he left us and I don’t blame him. We were a bunch of clowns back then who can’t say squat about Loyalty after firing a coach who got us to our first NC in over 50 years, and had just won the SEC East the year before he was fired. He inherited a broken USC team who fired him. Of course he was going to leave FAU, and I knew he would leave Ole Miss for his ultimate destinations.
Saban, by the way left MSU, LSU and then the Dolphins. Not much different. It amazes me how loyal fans and employers expect coaches and players to be when they are NOT as loyal.

I think replacing him right now is most likely just stupid although he does have the look that no fans of their coach want to see. If he doesn’t fire Banks within the week, and God forbid, he retains him—he will not survive.

With all the new SEC coaches, the competition for recruits and NIL and portal players will be so much more intensified. These kids all have so many incredible chances that I am wondering what our 8-4 performance has in terms of appeal? Great fans, facilities, stadium, history long ago, etc - but what about NOW for these young kids?

The metrics of the next 6 months for CJH and his staff is mesmerizing. Hope we can hold onto talent and secure new talent. Tough damn job.
