Metro Atlanta is much larger geographically than metro Knoxville. Metro Atlanta is literally about a fifth of the state of GA.

Not quite... Sevierville is obviously closer than Jefferson City to Knoxville, but Alpharetta and Norcross are both MUCH closer to ATL than either Sevierville or J-City is to Knoxville.

Norcross and Alpheretta are METRO Atlanta. Are they not?

I live and work in Atlanta and both are very close (depending on which side of 285 you are on).
Atlanta is a dump I'm not a huge fan of the city. Alpharetta is nicer

No it's not. Metro Atlanta is a hotbed of recruiting. Plus, it's all so very close to ATL. It's all connected and that's how people refer to ATL in recruiting.

Not quite. They are suburbs of actual city of Atlanta. The Atlanta area has become one big city, and the urban sprawl is incredible. But, I see what you are getting at. During rush hour, it can feel like driving from Sevierville to Knoxville.

Actually editing my post. If you look at mileage, Sevierville and Jefferson City to Knoxville aren't actually far off from downtown Atlanta to Norcross and Alpharetta. It is just perception of the city of Atlanta- one big metropolis.

Very close. It's maybe a 20 minute drive outside of Atlanta. I went to the same High School as Lawson.

Um No. Not at all actually. I used to live further north of both those areas in Duluth and those are ATL without question, as where I was. They are an equivalant such as Marietta.

I was in Duluth last week for training. I stayed at the Marriot on Pleasent Hill Rd. The suburbs of ATL are crowded but theres alot of things to do I love going down there.
