I believe a poster mentioned this before, but I'll express it again.

Butch doesn't have any connections. He's stubborn and wants "his way"

That's a recipe for disaster IMO. It finally took Bajakian years to "get out" while he could.

Butch can't hire a better OC than DeBord because

A: He doesn't know anybody else in his "book"
or
B: When he interviews OC's he gives off a bad vibe and the OC being interviewed wouldn't even take the job if offered.

you sir dont have a clue.

I heard CBJ didn't want the offense to have to change too much with terminology etc...for Dobbs from last season and Debord fit the bill.

Everyone "respects" everyone in their own profession.

The whole "we hired a guy that will keep same style, terminology , etc.". Is complete BS.

We have played against 3 teams with new OCs and lost all 3 of them. Almost lost to a new DC guy in Bowling Green and lost to a brand new DC at Florida.

The kids aren't stupid to not figure out a "system"

We didn't almost lose to Bowling Green in any shape or form. How do you expect to be taken seriously spouting that nonsense?

Right because changing the "terminology" of the offensive system for an aerospace engineering major might be a little too much.

Butch had Debord kick his name around Michigan to work his way into an extension, in return he helped his old coaching friend out and brought him into the fold as OC. This could be a little too far - fetched for most who see through the CBJ goggles to see, but it's very possible.
