Cincy 31 Vols 20

I predict that regardless of who wins today this board will blow tonight with thread after thread about how horrible our defense is and how Wilcox has got to go. Cincinnati has had one of the most prolific offenses in college football for several years. As a team they were not very good last year but the offense still averaged close to 500 yards per game including agaist Oklahoma in a game they only lost 31-29. Cincinnati runs the spread and Collaros throws alot of short quick passes making it close to impossible to sack him so I'm sure there will be screaming about how our defensive line is getting no sacks. If we do struggle on defense today I hope people realize most defenses struggle to some degree agaist teams like this.

We sandbagged against Montana. We could have hung 70 if we had the inkling.

Agreed!! Instead, CDD worked on the running game with 7 and 8 in the box, and low and behold poole "sucks".

Rogers and Hunter were open all day!

If our defense looks as confused and green as last week, Collaros will have a big day.

It will be a 3-point game - I just don't know who'll win. It will be that close.

Keep telling yourself that.

Why would an unproven coach with a team full of freshmen and sophomores, in need of solid gameday experience, "sandbag"? With a large lead against an FCS opponent would have been a perfect time to open things up, gain confidence, and build game reps.

I like what I see so far. We've been more successful defensively than I thought we would be - largely due to 4th down performance.

I honestly thought we'd be in the 30-35 point range. If Bray and company keep making plays there is no reason why we shouldn't be in Atlanta come December.

I read this guys pick on the internet and it amazes me!! If they hold us under 40 points they will be lucky!! Cincy has 3 very good skill position players and a so/so veteran defense!!

We had trouble running the ball but Tauren Poole still had 98 yards and IMO it was against fundamental blocking (no guard pulling) etc...I think that was done on purpose!! They won't have the ballz to put 8 people in the box, no way!!

I remember on the opening kickoff Cal's superstar tightend wobbling off the field after he had his bell rung....pretty much set the tempo of the game!!

I was at that game and I think 2 Bears had to be helped off the field after the 1st kick-off
