My favorite new beer now! I love Tecate. Sly, try can of Tecate with a little salt on the rim with a dash of hot sauce on there too. Allsome.

I started drinking Tecate about 20 years ago. Was my regular go to. Cancun's had just opened their restaurant on Chapman Highway. So, we went there to check it out. Side note-it was pretty good when they first opened. Went downhill afterwards. Told the waiter I wanted some decent Mexican beer for a change. Had tried many and didn't like them. He brought a bottle of Tecate, a frozen beer glass (the thick heavy kind) that was rimmed with salt, small wedge of lime and told me that if I didn't like it, it was free. He said, hot sauce is optional. Also, the night I discovered Cholula hot sauce. I was hooked on that combo.

It scares me how similar we are sometimes. I might be your long, lost brother from another mother.

Could be. You know I lived all over Florida at different times. And, if I remember right, you're from around Straw Plains which is a short jump from South Knoxville.

My Dad went to Young and grew up in South Knoxville. My Granny lived there till the day she died so I spent a lot of time there. Do you remember Riverside Pool? Dad use to manage it in the summers.

became very hard to come by. I heard of some unrest in the family in Jamaica, so I bought 2 cases about a year ago. I think their website is even locked up.

Yikes!! Not to give anything away, was your Dad's initials BG? Grew up going to Riverside pool and went to Young High. My Dad went there, too.

Dude, I learned to swim in that pool. I was a lifeguard there when I got old enough. So was my brother. Dad was manager there until they tore it down. Dad initial's were BP not BG. I will PM you with some info.
