What’s up with Cimaglia? He’s missed a field goal in both games. It seems his nerves are getting the best of him, doesn’t have the same confidence he had last year. if we drive the field and miss field goals against Georgia i don’t see us having a chance to win.

You don't beat good teams with FGs, gotta have TDs on most possessions.

Has nothing to do with question at hand, but my husband and I call him legs. In person he has legs for miles. He'll be fine....
I haven't checked out his legs as much as Sara and her hubby have, but I absolutely agree with her. Brent is gonna be fine. He's a superb kicker, will do big things for us in these next 8 games.

I think it's the holder.. He does not seem to have the timing down just yet with the new guy.

Both of his misses have sailed wide left… Could be it’s some hitch in his technique that he’ll have to refine. Perhaps the awkward off-season and lack of practice time has allowed it to surface.

Could also be nothing. It’s still only two misses after all.

Don't know what the issue is but I do know they need to get it worked out ASAP. Will be difficult to keep winning without a decent placekicker. Some of these upcoming games are going to be much closer than the one yesterday. Driving the ball down the field and then having the kicker shank the field goal is demoralizing. Hopefully it's just a timing issue.

Seems like his set up is a little different from last year. He looks like he is more to the left as compared to last year. Could be why he is pulling it left. Never tried to kick a football like that so just an amatuer's observation.

I almost hate to even comment on this thread again, but here goes.....He walks back, two sideways steps to the right. That's what he does during the game, not sure if he's doing the same this year.

Yeah, you got my jist. It looks like when he takes those two steps, he is more toward the line of scrimmage than last year.

Maybe it's possible Pruitt won't attempt a long boneheaded 47 yd FG on 4th and 1 now?

There are some upsides.

He has kicked well in the past, but the misses he has had the first 2 games are perplexing. It's not that he missed but how it missed, twice it has been ugly knuckleball one off misses. It may be the holder or whatever, but after 2 of them type kicks in 2 games it needs to be addressed and I am hopeful it is. But yes, it is something to critique especially they way both were kicked. Off by a mile and UGLY. But no doubt, Cimaglia kicked well last year I just hope he gets back to that kind of form. We may need him in crucial spots and we need to fix whatever caused the 2 kicks. GBO!!!!!

To win big games you need a kicker that can hit 45-50 yarders with at least decent consistency. At some point your going to need him more than likely. GBO!
