How did this man turn a perpetual doormat into a team that could give the Raiders a hard time? And speaking of the NFL, how long before he starts getting serious looks from those guys for a defensive coordinator job?

Just signed a big extension. I think he retires there
I agree, unless the Steelers come calling. He’s from Pittsburgh and apparently is a die hard. If Tomlin is fired or leaves in the next couple of years, it would be interesting to see if the Steelers would consider him. Although, that would definitely be against their MO, as they almost always go with a young coach.

Cignetti made the most of the opportunity with Indiana. He proved he could coach last year against a joke of a schedule, then Indiana went and found all the money he needed to compete for a title. Mark Cuban even donated a large amount for the first time.

Indiana becoming a powerhouse bothers me, but they were given a good opportunity and made the most of it. I can’t say anything bad about their program right now.

This man was coaching at tiny Elon College fairly recently. Absolutely amazing. However there is one of this guy so coach envy leads nowhere if you fire a solid staff or even if you hired Curt and his plan did not work a second time. I think at his age it was wise to stay with what he has built and not go to Florida or somewhere and try to do it again. Doug Dickey built a juggernaut at Tennessee then left for UF and fell flat.

It shows with the portal and NIL it is possible for teams to suddenly become competitive. I am hoping that Knowles and his new staff can bring in some motivated defensive talent to complement Josh's offensive machine.
