Cignetti in the SEC?

OMG you're pulling out division winners; you're one of those that celebrated us being 2003 SEC East CO-Champs aren't you. ROFL.
Beating Ohio St at 10-1 or Northwestern or Iowa at 11-1 and 10-2 is impressive, Imagine trying to dismiss your "own team's" accomplishments because you are propping up a coach who has beaten one ranked team in two seasons (and whose schedule is so easy, he didn't even play a team with a winning record until mid november last year)

He won a AAC title, and several big games which is what i said...
He won against Bama (twice), Oklahoma, LSU, Florida (twice), a 10 win UK team, Pittsburgh, Clemson, Cincinnati at Gameday, FAU and Kiffin, Texas A&M, Iowa

Cig has beaten Oregon and a Illinois team that will be 7-5

ROFL now Pittsburgh and Kentucky, beating a 6-7 and 8-5 Florida teams, and beating FAU are all big games.

And AAC title! ROFL .

Dude you lost all credibity when you tried to pass f'n Pittsburgh, Kentucky, and 2 mediocre at best UF teams as "big games". Sit your ass down.

Beating the defending ACC champ, the best UK team in 40 years, winning twice vs Florida, and beating Kiffin and a ranked 11-2 FAU team are big games

winning the conference is a big deal, Don't have to worry about Cig doing that, even in the weak Big Ten.

Heupel is better than Cig. Tennessee is better than Indiana

Sorry if that makes you, a "Tennessee fan" upset but then again you are also the guy making excuses for that criminal kid from LA too

I'm loving the mental gymnastics of going from "Only the SEC is good" to turning around and trying to convince everyone that beating FAU and Cincinnati are big wins.

It’s as if two unrelated things can’t be true.

Clearly Cignetti can’t be a good coach if the SEC is the best conference in the land.

Just hypothetical.

I know Cignetti has done well at Indiana (Incredible, actually - based on Indiana’s football history).

But, I don’t see ANY way that he could just step in and win like that in the SEC.

Especially in this age of NIL & the transfer portal. (I know those are Kiffen’s bread & butter, but even Kiffen hasn’t had Ole Miss ranked as high as Indiana)….

The BIG just isn’t as tough (Top to Bottom) as the SEC. Vandy’s stadium only holds about 40,000 - but still a tougher road game than Perdue. Minnesota? - Please…..

Every year there are about 10 or more SEC teams in the top 25 & maybe 4/5 from the Big 10.

Any thoughts?
Indiana has him tied up for years---not going anywhere

What he's doing with that talent is pretty impressive, even if their schedule is sort of weak. 0 5-stars, 7 4-stars, 55 3-stars on their roster. Who knows what he can do with a talented roster.

Got to he careful with guys like him. Remember Gary Barnett? Others too. Everyone gets enamored with the flavor of the month.

Clark lea is not "winning" in the SEC

He is 8-29
What's his record the last 2 years?

Your lack of nuance on this subject is honestly astounding.

Lea has Vandy in line for a playoff spot. At a school the traditionally wins 4-5 total games a year.

Cignetti has not only won every where he's been, but he's taken an Indiana program that has historically been WORSE than Vandy and turned them into CFP contenders in back to back seasons.

You can question how "good" their teams actually are relative to their schedule. But they're winning a bunch of games vs teams with more talent than they have. And winning games is the name of the game.
