I am sure most on VN know about the Cigar tradition for the Bama game. As Bama has won nine straight they have enjoyed the tradition lately.

As you can tell from the photo gallery at the top of this article (30+ photos of bama fans last year), the fans light up their cigars right after the game.

The Big Orange will remain a big myth until Tennessee topples Alabama | AL.com

Can't smoke in a Tennessee school, or for the most part anywhere around such a place. You could be damned to hell.

Bob Neyland started that. Coach Neyland just OWNED Alabama. As I recall....never lost a single game to Bear Bryant. Neyland just OWNED the bear

PLEASE - every person attending the Bama game who is willing - bring a cigar and light that bad boy up when we WIN!!!! Would love to see that on the TV broadcast!

Neyland didn't lose to Bryant, but I don't believe they ever faced each other at UT and Bama.

Bob Neyland owning Bear Bryant had nothing to do with Alabama...UK & Maryland (I think) but not Bama.

Edit...I see it has already been mentioned.

I went to the UT-Bama game during Dooley's last year. The Vols were blown out, and me and my bud stayed to watch every minute of it, because it's the Vols.

We were in the upper deck visitors section. After the game, the bammers were lighting up the cigars, smiling, saying "Rawl Tahd". Even saw a few grandmas trying to blow smoke circles.

Let's go, Vols! Hang in there and whip those tater-diggin' bammers.
