Romeo Y Julieta, Reserva Real will be a grassy medium bodied stick. Great first cigar.

Alternately, Macanudo Cafe or Montecristo White.

What about the 1875 Connecticut?

My two faves are the Ashton ESG and the Blackened M81.

I wonder if starting off with a pricey stick would be a good introduction vs the $5-$10 range that I would live in..

Great cigars, but the request was for a milder, creamy stick. Those have a little more umph (and pepper).

Retail singles are going to cost more, but supporting your local cigar shop while you try a few to discover what you like is worthwhile.

Brickhouse Dbl Connecticut is a nice creamy smoke.
Charter Oak habano is toasty and nutty.
Can’t go wrong with Arturo Fuentes.
All in the $6-10 range.
Plenty of great smokes for less than $10

So, whaddaya do when you wake at 4:00am and can’t get back to sleep? I unboxed the package that arrived yesterday evening with the mail, had a light breakfast (didn’t wake the missus), and am trying one of the Cuba Aliados traditional with my second cup of coffee.

The haul: I do enjoy the cabinet series and thought I’d like the traditional, so I bought a box of each.

First impression of the traditional - well constructed as the cabinet series. Delivered in great condition, ready to smoke. Strong smell of cedar upon unwrapping. At first lighting, big pepper and a nicotine punch. Smooth, full, cedar, leather, and nutty in the first third. Burning perfectly with firm ash.
