Cigar /Pipe Smoking thread

After only one, this cigar is vying for my favorite maduro. Ernesto hit it perfectly with the cure of the wrapper combined with the choice of binder and filler. Dark chocolate, coffee, “burnt sugar,” pepper - complex flavors balanced just right. Medium body - no overwhelming nicotine kick - subtle and matched to the flavor profile. If he allowed tours of his factory, I’d be booking a trip to Dominica.

He really is a magician in that general flavor zone.

Break open this bad boy. 100 Anos lancero. Hasn’t seen the light of day in 20 years. Perfect construction, razor burn line, copious smoke. Hint of cracked black pepper, light leather, marzipan? Almost thought there was apricot on the nose. A touch of white pepper, smooth on the retrohale, every puff smooth as silk. Matches beautifully with the Maccallans 12 I’m sipping.

Some cigars don’t age well past a few years, especially those with medium flavors but this one really settled in.
