Cigar /Pipe Smoking thread

Running errands this morning and stopped in at the local cigar shop, asked what’s new. Proprietor Steve handed me a Jamie Garcia reserva especial. Full bodied maduro, with cocoa, leather, pepper, and cedar. The temp has dropped 15 degrees from this morning, so I’m on the porch dodging the downdrafts, smoking this fine stick.

This morning, it’s a quiet 30 degrees and snowing. If birds farted, you could hear them. My barehanded smoke is the CAO Nicaragua, a mix of Nicaraguan fillers in a Honduran binder with a Honduran Jamastran wrapper. Pepper on lightning fills out with nuts, wood, and a toasty tobacco prominence. Full of flavor, its nicotine is more muted than I would expect. Medium to medium full body.

Despite @Gandalf’s merry mischief, I do take care in lighting my cigars, rotating them slowly above the peak of the flame and examining the cherry for even completeness before puffing away. No, I don’t have a palsy.

This morning’s stogie is a CAO Brazilia, Nicaraguan filler with a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper - nutty, toasted bread, hints of coffee, cocoa, and spice, a little floral, and smooth. Medium body.

Well you finally lit that one evenly 😂 :p

Sometimes it is the cigar and sometimes its the herfer. I have had ones that wouldnt burn straight no matter what I did. Those CAOs though seem to have a pretty sharp burn line and a pretty tight white ash.
