What an a-hole. So let me state up front that I don't have a problem with the question. My issue is that it is so blatantly obvious that he is a partisan hack rather than someone interested in reporting actual news that might help improve relations within our government and civilization. He must have asked Kellyanne the same question a dozen times trying to get a response. And again... it's not that I have an issue with him trying to get an answer. But two things are obvious:

  1. in the grand scheme of things, the issue he is bringing up is so very minor in comparison to all of the other news that could have been reported
  2. can anyone give even one example of a journalist ever pushing this hard against a democrat? My goodness, if he would have been this persistent in asking Hillary about her emails then he might have some credibility.

So minor that the Trump administration devoted its entire first press conference to it?

Later in the program Chuck provided maps with distances (in miles) from D.C. of how far it was before Trump carried a county (or something like that)... and compared it to prior Presidents and tried to make an issue of the increased distance. Why would this be a surprise considering that a big part of Trump's campaign was to "drain the swamp" which in large part is the D.C. area?

It should come as no surprise to anyone that Trump would not have the support of the D.C. area, and I think most people view this as a positive... not as a negative which is what Chucky T. tried to posit.

Also, what do you expect, Chuck?

You moderate a show about and featuring politicians, and you expect a direct answer?

Two quick points...

1. it was not the "entire" press conference, so I guess that put's you in the same category as the left wing press

2. even other journalists, on other programs, were admitting that it was a trivial issue to be focusing on.

Should the media have been talking about how many times Trump has been on the cover of Time magazine, as he did at the CIA memorial?

She relies on "alternative facts."

Her words, not mine.

While Kellyanne's choice of words were in fact, unfortunate; should have chosen words like, "data with which we dispute the claims made", there is no question yourself, Chuck Todd, most of mainstream media, and millions of Americans suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome. Many symptoms exist and Todd exhibited late term 'Making a Mountain Out of a Molehill' which presents after the 'Nothing Really Can Be Done but I'll Find Any Damn Thing I Can' secondary syndrome begins to exhibit.

It can be fatal after a devolution into abject incoherence such as on display below.

Just curious LG... did you see any journalists press as hard regarding the following?

36 times Obama said "if you like your plan (or your doctor) you can keep it"... his words, not mine. Do you recall anyone pressing as hard to question him about this lie? Which by the way, has much more significance than the number of people attending an inauguration.

Or did Hillary ever truly get questioned as to why she deleted only "non-work related emails" (her words, not mine), even though it was proven that 33,000 plus were not only work related... but many contained classified information? Again, this would seem much more relevant than the number of people attending an inauguration and yet the press never even pursued it.

Do you not see, and can you not admit, to the hypocrisy??? The press is no longer the press... they might as well be a lobbyist group for the DNC.

They didn't have time... they were too busy falsely reporting that Trump had the MLK bust removed from the oval office.

This is great for Tennessee fans. We can now proudly and responsibly tell Alabama fans that OUR football program is the best in all of the land!

Alternative facts...I like it.

Why stop there, we clearly have a better Basketball team than Kentucky.

GBO!!!

First, yes, when that turned out to be false for at least some people there was a lot of media criticism of him for it.

Second, it's substantive policy. It's worthy of discussion and criticism of Obama. Trump's literal obsession with defending his ridiculous exaggeration of the size of the crowd, this just pathological need to be worshipped, is now way past alarming.

It's nuts how much he can't withstand just minor crap. He has to fight back over the most trivial of things. I can't believe he has the power to end life on the planet. He might do it, just out of spite.
