"Chuck Smith's role is to get after it," Jets head coach Rex Ryan said. "If he doesn't get in a fight before the game, that's a bonus ... Just kidding. But he's so intense...

pay the man...bring him in...

I sure hopre we are able to get Chuck, would be a great hire on Tenn's behalf, and one that would definently excite the fan base.

Just hope we can all support our coach. He's got alot of initiative, knowledge and courage to take on such a huge challenge without a staff and trying to save our recruiting class, which IMO he has saved alot already. We have 8 early enrollee's compared to 2 under LAME last year at this time. Let's not sell him short and judge him before he even takes the field. He will put together a good staff for us. He's definately multitasking like crazy right now putting in 16 hr days. That shows alot of dedication to our wonderful program and is showing the rest of the S.E.C. that he's full steam ahead. As much as I detest Nick Satan, I surely respect the man and CDD had alot of time with him. It's going to take some time guys, but give him a chance. I mean look, We've been set back before with FOOLMER and mediocrity and didn't do jack with all that former talent. I think CDD with be able to coach up alot of 3 star guys to be very good. IMHO. Give him time on getting the staff together. He's got recruits to get and a staff at the same time. He took on the challenge knowing what LAME and CROOKS did to us. Let's all rally together and let our players and coach know we are with them and support them.:eek:k:

I actually waited on Chuck multiple times in college. He liked to go to TGIFridays in Buckhead late with his crew. They always got JD ribs.

Win or lose the Jets won't play next week. Assistant coaches have been known t interview in the bye week before the super bowl.

Our Oline coach and Dline coach definately need to have nfl experience whoever they are. i'm ok with getting these local up and coming coaches for other positions but not for the trenches.

They'll to pay him big money to leave the Jets. He's got an NFL DC job in his future, which pays a couple of mil.

I think Chuck Smith will be the Vols D Line coach once the jets lose. I am hearing rumblings on TOS that this will go down but who knows.
