Obviously, Chuck Smith's departure was in the works well before signing day. Could this have been some of the mojo working against us with the likes of Pagan, Jernigan, Wright, Johnson, Mackey, etc.?

I'm pissed about it!!!! Total bull****!!

This is total crap!!!!!

I hate the state of Tennessee football and I'm not holding my breathe that its getting better. Just when I start to feel better about things. The only guy mentioned besides CDD this year was CCS. All the other coaches including CLT were AWOL when it came to the DL. CLT better bring the beef next year or everyone here will hate me next recruiting season. CJW went with his Oregon buddy instead of someone who can advance our standing with recruits. If CPS can't recruit some studs next year then this just makes me more upset. I can't even think straight right now. I was so happy about what CCS was doing and now our only link to VOLS of days past is going to go somewhere to most likely recruit against us. He could end up at Georgia. Wouldn't that be great? CJW you better be able to recruit DTs next year thats all I can say.

Not sure how I feel about this news from the perspective that...how would I feel if I were a recruit that just signed with UT? Was this information purposefully withheld until after NSD? This seems pretty scandalous to me. Not real proud of how this turned out.

On another note...I have to say I like that Peter Sirmon got bumped up, I always liked him as a Titan and have heard he's showing promise as a coach.

This has been known before NSD and I doubt recruits didn't know

We would gladly take him if he's interested. Coach Richt needs to start working the phones ASAP.

I was under the impression only one coach had changed. Did not realize it was the entire staff.

Completely agree...I believe CCS is more valuable than CJW...I now wish CJW left for the Texas job...This is the first thing I dont agree with CDD on

CCS was unproven and is still unproven in the college ranks.

Exactly what I was thinking. If Derek Dooley did know about this departure prior to NSD then that just makes Dooley look dishonest. Recruits once again get the shaft.

Smith might be a good D L trainer but a D L coach he had problems. Wilcox saw it and Dooley saw it. I trust Dooley:loco:
