Chuck Oliver picks UT to finish with 6-7 wins...

Chuck Oliver lacks integrity. Last year when one coach did not vote for Tim Tebow as preseason all-SEC qb, he was quick to come out and say it was Kiffin and blast him for it. Once it came out that it was actually Steve Spurrier that did not vote for Tebow, Chuck Oliver never came back and apologized or even admitted he had been wrong. I'm no Kiffin fan but he could at least get his facts straight. King of college football - I don't think so.

Our schedule starts off crazy tough, but really, we should sweep all of our games after South Carolina, and yes, I do think we'll beat Snead/McCluster-less Ole Miss and our Kentucky streak will NOT stop at 25 years. Those would be the toughest remaining games, and they're both at Neyland.

But no, September and October are going to be brutal. Oregon, UF, @LSU, @UGA, Bama, and @USCjr. Those will be pretty darn tough.

For playing Bama and Florida every year alone, I don't see how he could ever say our schedule is easy, unless our other 10 games were against the C-USA or WAC or something.

Evans isn't phenomenal, but he's definitely a useful player.

I've never watched a game and been thankful Art Evans was the one on the field.

I'm not necessarily saying someone else on our roster should, but I'm really pointing out more that we've got a problem if Art Evans is the best we can put on an island.

(There's a reason you'll never hear of "Evans Island")

He did play really well against UGA last year. Go back and watch the tape, he had a very solid day.

I say 6 to 7 wins next year would be awesome with our lack of depth and inexperience at key positions. Anything over that would be icing on the cake for us. GBO!!!

but then says it's because UT plays such an EASY schedule.

He likes the linebackers, especially Herman Lathers, and the safeties. Doesn't like anything else, noting cornerbacks, QB, and Oline.

Guess he hasn't paid attention to Gordon, Oliver, or Evans yet.

pretty good pick.

Chuck Oliver know NOTHING about college football. He's another frustrated Auburn fan that could not get into Bama...and I'm a UT fan but Auburn = Bama Rejects.
Trashy place...weak ass tailgating...assigned parking for season ticket holders that show up 10 minutes before the game...

Auburn has the worst tailgating in the SEC for non-auburn fans. Their fans get to show up at 4PM on Friday before the game and mark off any area they want with yellow tape all over campus, leaving no spots for fans getting to the game on Saturday, even if they get there early. The whole thing is a joke.

Easy schedule? Vs. LSU, Bama, Florida, Oregon?????????????? Really?

Well obviously he doesn't expect us to win those games. The rest we could potentially win. Not to mention we are playing Kentucky, UT-Martin, Vandy, UAB, and Memphis. Our schedule as a whole is hard, but we have enough easy games that we should be able to get 6-7 wins. I'm sure that's what he meant by our schedule being easy.

Three games in the state of Tennessee in November plus Kentucky. The schedule is front loaded.

Well said. Very boring IMHO.

Easy schedule? He must be on crack or some other stuff I don't know about.

3 of our first 5 are vs Oregon, Florida and LSU.......then Georgia and Bama. Doesn't get easy till after S. Carolina.

Why do people post what some guy predicts UT will do this season? There's really no point, all it does is bring out replies of how stupid the guy is, how we're going to surprise everyone, blah blah blah.

In the end, who cares what he predicts?

It could be worse, could be another Dooley V Kiffin thread. Better yet another Dooley sucks because....
Or Dooley is the greatest thing since slice bread.

We have the capability to surprise people this year ..... If we get just an average year from the OL and which ever QB there are athletes around them on both sides of the ball that could give us 7-8 wins .... Coach Hiestand is a hire that is really going unnoticed!!!! Don't throw up the white flag on this season just yet

If Neyland Stadium was like the Cal game back in '06 for every game it would be next to impossible to lose at home!!! It was deafening in there that day and it was just unreal to be a part of!!!!
