Chryst dink and dunk qb

I'm not saying he will start, but I will say you don't waste a spot on a Grad Transfer if you don't expect him to start.

Also, I think people need to start watching McBride.... I believe he is being underated for contending for the starting spot. (Pruitt said just as much in the Spring Game stating he was working with a makeshift O-Line and the second string receivers which seemed to effect his game)

You never heard of having depth? We literally only had one viable p5 qb on the roster in JG. We needed to take a few reaches to fill spots even if they may never start. You have to have backups in the SEC.

So then you go out and get a Grad Transfer with one year of elgibility instead of possibly a JUCO (who is decent) with more elgibility?

Come on man. Chryst was brought in to make an immediate impact. Just like every other Grad Transfer that is brought in....

Edit: Plus I said I didn't know if he would win the job. Just stating why he was brought in.

I gotta differ with you on this. It’s not a “waste” of a scholarship if you need depth...see Madre London.

Lol, it's funny how you try and belittle people to get a point across.

With your points who has JG beat? I'm waiting.

I'm not the one using the idiotic argument of winning record when so many other factors go into it. For example one was on a good team and one on a team that gave up and was coached by Botch Jones.

He would have beaten Carolina but a pass was dropped. That would have been a better team than Chryst has ever beaten. Plus I would hope Chryst has more wins in three years compared to half a season starting. Lets not forget that KC was replaced or injured early in atleast three of his so called "wins."

If JG had been playing three seasons and only had 11 wins I wouldn't want him to be our qb. 11 in three years is a pretty trash record.

He will go overboard. I agree with him on this one...even as I hear the splash. :)

Back on this one, who were the comparable JUCO QB’s worth a crap in the last class?

Madre was brought in for immediate playing time though Butchna that's my point.

I don’t think that’s projected as all or nothing...and definitely not guaranteed as a starter. It’s a scholarship for a one year guy. Depth.

London is a backup too. Why do people think these guys that were not more than mediocre on better teams in weaker conferences are coming here to start?

Terry Wilson - 6'3 / 193 lbs Dual-Threat QB to University of Kentucky

Malik Henry - 6'2 / 185 lbs

Lindsey Scott - 5'11 / 210 lbs Pro-Style QB to Mizzou

Bryce Perkins - 6'2 / 215 lbs Dual-Threat QB to Virginia Tech

I never said he would start and the running back position is different you can have multiple players receive playing time.

Hence Madre London was brought in to play immediately.

But how much is no impact. If it’s very little? Still worth the scholarship. Just like Chryst...depth.

Hahah I don't disagree that Chryst was not brought in for depth. But to say that he was brought in to be JGs backup is just silly.

That's not the case.

LoL. I knew who started this thread before I opened it.

Just bring a little balance. :good!:

Someone posted an article about the same guy while twisting it make it seem worse than it was.

I posted the article that clarified the guys comments. Nothing added.

Never have argued that he wasn’t brought in to compete for the starting job...just that it wasn’t guaranteed. Too many people uttering that he didn’t come here to be a backup. His INTENTIONS are meaningless!

I believe we are arguing over the same sentiment.

My replies were in reference to K-town outright thinking that JG will start over Chryst because Chryst was just brought in for depth if JG got hurt.

My arguement is the same as yours.

Don’t lump me in with K-Town. When I’m in agreement with him, I have to dust off afterwards. :)

Either way, the best qb will play. I would be willing to bet that any recruit/transfer that steps on any campus has the chance to start if he beats out the player ahead of him. Every player is brought in with the hope that he makes a difference.

I think he was brought in to compete. Not just lay down and be the backup. He will end up the backup though. Providing depth.

I don't think he was pretty much guaranteed the job like you have implied.

I don't think he will be the starter. I think he will be depth.

It is very unlikely he starts unless JG is injured.

Lol oh I am definitely lumping you in on this one. Because we both know K-town thinks JG is the only viable starter. Lol

Like I said again, I'd watch out for McBride no one is talking about him this summer. (Pruitt even said to watch for him, that the O&W game didn't do him justice)
