Chryst dink and dunk qb

I just wonder if Pruitt wants to go with the Alabama model “game manager”. He may just play the one who makes fewer mistakes. Either way we need a 2nd QB recruit in this class ASAP.

I just can’t subscribe to the “you are what ONE year of you in a bad offense says you are” philosophy.

Were probably going to want to control the clock and keep our defense off the field as much as possible this season. I'd say "dink and dunk" is exactly what Coach Pruitt will want our offense to be.

Lol.... No. I'm not going to do a film study of a 4-8 year for you.

He was not good at getting rid of the ball, but all too often the pocket just wasnt there. I'll bet Alabama hit him 20 times. Even if only half of them were his fault, the protection sucked.

come on,somebody needs to :hi:

Darth... I watched Alabama's highlights. It would show all of their big plays against us. (To include breaks in coverage) I watched the entire game in 2017 I could base it off of that but no one would consider it facts just hearsay.

Just sayin, highlights never tell the whole story of a game. They’re not that useful for breaking down how a unit performed overall.

Those Bama highlights might show all of their defensive plays, but it won’t nece show every time a player in our team was beaten or made a mistake. For instance a play where a DT flushes a QB from the pocket and forces him to throw the ball away would be a win for the defense and a loss for the offense, but unlikely to be included in a highlight video. Or a play where a DL beats his man and almost gets a TFL, but a RB makes a guy or two kids and picks up a short gain.

Football is filled with little things like this and it’s why watching a game play by rewinding it to see what each player and his opponent is doing is the only way to get a real idea of how a player or unit is doing.

Very true. Can't argue against that.

Did you happen to check downfield looking to see if there was any separation? You act like there could be no reason to hold the ball except inexperience or not mentally there, what if there was sub-par coaching, and no open receivers, and an injured ankle limiting running, bit then again I guess putting all the blame on him is easier.

All of that being so, there were times when JG clearly should have gotten rid of the ball but held it for a loss, etc. Now, I say that while also saying that I think JG has a LOT of talent, both physical and mental, which should develop into a starting SEC QB. He does need to tweek his play and take his game up a level. With the coaching he does now have, I expect to see that happen. Of course, my expectations don't mean much.
