I plan on going but didn't realize tickets were on sale. I've been keeping my eye on Ticketmaster but nothing on there yet.

Noticed that, first place I checked.

I wouldnโ€™t go to Memphis for any reason. Wish there was another route to get to all the ducks in Arkansas but there isnโ€™t.

Have seen it all in Memphis. Be careful. Nobody is safe there. Nobody
Head of the chamber of commerce was shot and killed last week on south front street while doing a childrenโ€™s benefit. The two who did it were captured and await trial.

Worked the inner city of Memphis for over 2 years as a home health Physical Therapist. Never had a problem. Maybe the stethoscope around my neck kept me safe.

From what law enforcement told me, criminals will not bother anyone in the medical field because you may be the first responder if they are the victim in a shooting.

Sounded reasonable.

Sounds like police doo doo to me. Itโ€™s like asking an officer โ€œare there speed traps??โ€

Taught martial arts in orange mound to various military and carried โ€œ safety equipment โ€œ with me everywhere.
Made as many friends as possible and had the protection of the grandmothers in the neighborhood as well. It was about helping tutor the kids as well. After a while the neighborhood knew I was truly trying to help them and trusted me and protected me. I still care a lot about the kids there and wish them well

Itโ€™s gotten worse every year of its existence to get to this point. It used to be a really cool place to visit in the 1980โ€™s and some of the 90โ€™s. Honestly, after 9/11 it went off the deep end and is not a situation that can be helped in any way.

Memphis has a problem with gangs and drugs. It is a distribution center, a hub for drugs heading east from Mexico. Build the wall and stop/slow the flow of drugs and Memphis can be a better place.

I've been going to Grizzlys, Red Birds, and ncaa regionals for years in downtown Memphis and never once had a dangerous encounter. If you live and work there you have a different exposure to crime than the visitor to Beale.

Don't let the fearmongers dissuade you from enjoying a big time event like the Tigers and Vols, the sky is falling chicken littles are exaggerating the danger.
