Christian LeMay looking to transfer

We played against Butler back in summer 2010 at the Nike 7on tournament, the predecessor to the opening back when they invited top high school teams, not just the top high school players. Lemay was suspended for the tourney and ended up being suspended for his senior season. Some off the field issues, and getting passed by a walkon qualifies as an on-field issue.

Then-sophomore Riley Ferguson came in and played qb for them and played pretty well at the tournament and lead them to the state championship that year. We should be fine with just the successor and not the predecessor.

He's going to Jacksonville State along with another UGA player. I doubt Richt would release him to any SEC school.

The longer the off season goes the more these threads get off beat and stretched. This fan base is so hungry to be a winner again.

He got passed on the depth chart by a walk - on...

I'm not saying we should be interested in Lemay but H Mason is no slouch. I lived in that school district when he was a Senior and he had a streak of 4-5 games with over 400 yards passing including the playoffs. He played in a spread system and IMO his skill set favors Worley.

You could see him growing up in that Georgia Tech game. I agree with your assessment. His only mistake was going to UGA and sitting on the bench until his turn came, but then again Dooley and Chaney mostly ignored him for us. The kid had Tennessee ties and was very interested in UT.

Once again I'm not saying that we should go after Lemay, but his off the field transgression was having consensual sex with a female on his schools campus. I'm not saying it's right, but he was 17 and I don't know if I could have walked away if I was in his shoes.

No SEC school would even want him. All kinds of off-field problems dating back to HS along with a father who is always causing trouble. These transfer threads are beginning to be silly. We have total reject football players popping up non-stop on these transfer threads. You can definitely tell it is the off-season.

In all fairness not everyone is aware of background and just see where a former highly rated guy is transferring at a position of need
