If Butch is seriously considering Weinke and Dorsey as candidates to develop our QBs, I would think that suggests something about how Butch expects the QB competition to turn out. I talked to QD's mother at one of his HS games. At that time, Dobbs was just beginning to have great success running the ball. She said that the family was really concerned about Butch being committed to a running QB system. She said that Butch called and assured them there were no implications for how he would use QD. Not saying pro-style people can't adapt to a spread offense, but why not hire a spread guy to begin with?
