Really??? I guess CW needs to step his game up! Your opinion...you're entitled! GO BIG ORANGE!

Haha, yeah. I mean it's not necessarily my opinion - just my observations. I think he's a good player it just seems like a couple times every game he's out of position and it costs us big.

Lol! I will make sure I tell him when he comes home this weekend. I hope that when you come to your "couple of games" this year he will make sure he's not out of position and give up big plays! Too bad Chris is moving on after this year. Maybe Coach Dooley could have hired you to coach Chris up! Have a good day sir and always, GO BIG ORANGE AND GO #84!!!

Am I the only person who thinks CW is somewhat overrated?? I went to quite a few games last year and every game I saw him out of position at least 2 or 3 times. I'm not saying he's a terrible player - he has his fair share of good plays but it was pretty much a given every game that he would be out of position and allow a big play.

I don't think he gets enough credit. He's an undersized DE that is pretty damn good against the run. He had 6 sacks last year while being asked to do a lot more than just rush the passer.

I hope that the interior of the DL is stout enough to let him pin his ears back and go.

That's just me though.

How many sacks will Chris Walker have this year? I am setting the over/under at 8. What do you think and why?

Under 8. Dline across the board isn't good enough. Will probably draw a lot of double-teams. Ben Martin is my prediction to lead the team in sacks. He played very well the second half of last season.

Honestly, I'm not trying to pick at him but just being objective. He's obviously talented or he wouldn't be starting division I football for an SEC team. I just think every player has room for improvement. You'll find far harsher criticism than what I said from other people on the board with other players (Crompton). Maybe you could put in a good word for me to Dooley? Btw, I think it's awesome when parents come to the boards and support their kids.

GBO!

Sir, I'm a big girl! If I couldn't handle the criticism, I wouldn't come on the message board and expose my identity. Chris is a senior and I've spent his entire career listening to what he can and cannot do. The bottom line is Chris controls his own destiny...not you, not me, no one else. In the grand scheme of things, football has afforded Chris the opportunity to earn his degree in 3 1/2 years while playing on one of the biggest stages in college football. He hears the criticism and it is not because I share what I read on the message boards! He is quite aware of his "weaknesses" as dictated by "other coaches" and by his critics. Thank God the only thing that matters to him is what his UT coaches think about the way he plays. Chris' UT career has been filled with adversity. He has endured three coaches in four years, nagging injuries and many other obstacles yet he has remained ALL ORANGE! We all have. So, the criticism of a few fans is nothing to him. He is battle-tested and ready for his senior season. His main goal is to enjoy his senior season and close the mouths of a few naysayers. Chris Walker will walk away from The University of Tennessee in December with no regrets and a degree in hand...MISSION: ACCOMPLISHED!

Go Big Orange!
