I dunno why but my intuition is telling me Chris is going to become a beast. He seems like he has natural leadership qualities as well. Watch out Florida!!!!

I think you will see quite few players on defense have break out seasons, I just wish the same was for the offense.

You know what really bugs me is everyone is saying Florida is going to smash us. They bag on our Offense how horrible it is. What they dont think about it seems is that there is another side of the ball and its DEFENSE! Our Defense was 3rd or 4th last season in the nation (someone help me out). How bout the cliché defense wins championships. Its true....man cant wait to see some tennessee football im tired of all this talking!

They should also keep in mind even with an anemic offense and our defense always on the field we still managed to have a solid defense. Imagine if we could get at least 25% better production out of the offense and easing the load on this years defense. The will be unstoppable if they get into a normal battle rhythm.

Not everyone is as smart to think this as us Tennessee fans!

I say let them think it. Our defense and a managable offense (which I feel we will have) is gonna hurt a lot of people's feelings this year

With Williams coming on lately it looks like we have two very solid (if not superb) DEs this year. They should help disrupt the QB play alot this year and send some 'wounded ducks' right in Berry's direction.

With Walker, Wes Brown (dedicated to this team), Gerald Williams, Big Montario Hughes and Dan Williams....With Monte Kiffin calling the blitz packages and Ed O's techniques and skills he has been teaching them....We are gonna see some big time plays by the defensive front this year...I am excited for this team...I think the D will be better this year than last...

I think the defense will be fine. I just hope we see the offense do more than go 3 and out most of the time.

With all that being said, our D should be incredible. That is why I am wondering why I am reading a bunch of articles about the O getting the better of the D. Is Little Kiff holding out on the improvement on the offensive side of the ball?

Maybe Chris's predictions of getting all over Tebow when he came in as a freshman will be realized.

Ummm. Two starters and a second teamer?

Nevin McKenzie and Ellix Wilson being the starters, Adam Myers-White being the second teamer.

Ummm! No disrespect but it took 5 years for Wilson and Meyers-White to even break the starting line-up. Just because they were starters doesn't mean they were good. You have to send someone out there to play, and they where all we had. Pretty sad actually. That's why I hope you also realize that thompson, frazier, and reveiz are not going to get it done. Askew, king and lathers should start from game one. Just my opinion, albiet

Sure would be an excellent time for McNeil to become vocal, and show some leadership on that o-line. It'd make me feel a lot better about moving the chains.

I think our defense could be better but not ranked in the top 3-4 in the country. Part of the reason for our high ranking is that 5 out of our 12 games were against teams in the bottom 20 in offense in the entire FBS (Vandy, UCLA, Auburn, Miss St., and Wyoming). I think the defense will be top 10-20 this year.

The D will have to be better than that if we expect them to win 7-8 games.

The offense is what kept us from winning games last year not the Defense. The defense just needs to up the intensity from last year. I thought we were too much of a bend dont break Defense. I wont to see blitzes and big hits on the opposing QB not drop 6 in soft coverage on 3rd and long....
But the coaches we have on the d side are way better then what we had that is why I think we will be better and show more intensity.
If the offense gets moving we will be moving....If O-Line blocks and Crompton delivers accurately then we will win some big games....
