Chris Walker and Quintin Hancock named most improved

..according to Drew Edwards. I'm not surprised about Walker but I didn't expect Hancock.

I'm not. The only other main candidate for me on offense is Poole. Or maybe Toney Williams, but he faced nothing but backup defenders pretty much. Poole did too, but to a somewhat lesser extent.

Any one of these players could very well be dynamic, big play guys, but with a new regime, I tend to believe they are focused more on something along the lines of weightroom presence, leadership ability...the intangibles. Not saying some players not receiving as much press lack those traits (although they very well could), but I'm under the impression that's a lot of what coaches could be concerned about at this point in the season, as they really haven't gotten an opportunity to get a sense of who's who.

This system is not a #1, 2, 3 WR system. There is a W, X, and Z system.

W-Slot WR in 3WR set
X-Split End, usually the big possession WR
Z-Flanker, usually the quicker, playmaking WR.

Currently
X: Hancock/Moore/Warren/Paige
Z: Jones/Rogers/Campbell/Maples

I dont know the chart for the W but WR's from both positions are involved.

What people don't realize is that the competition between these three is not over yet. The depth chart released today says that the starter is one of those three. It lists them all as 1s. Not in order like that.

Let's hope that all of these accolades translate into top notch on the field, regular season play

Just based on game and scrimmage tape, it's hard to see why D Moore isn't in the playmaker camp. It must be intangibles or inconsistency in practice.

He catches the deep ball in a beautiful stride.

Are both of these guys good blocking backs as well?

The depth chart released to the public says that. But they have come out in that order for the last 3 weeks. (Not rotating)

I agree with you that the competition is still going on, but as of today, that is how it would be if tomorrow's game was the first game of the season.

Could it just be alphabetical order?
