No way he’s met with any sitting head coaches. The schools wouldn’t allow it during the season. Not saying they haven’t somehow had contact though

Per his 2015 contract he would owe 2.5 million.....being in the second or third year..... Year 4 he would owe 1.5 mill.

Petersen got an extension this year; however his contract does not require him to pay a sum of years left.

Petersen would still owe either 2.5 being in year 3 or the sum of his year 1 base salary (if considered year 1 because of the extension).

The 30 mil is only if Washington let him go without cause.

Dabo has the largest buyout in college football history.......it is 40 million; however if he wanted to leave it would only cost that years base salary or for this year around 6 mil.

Peterson is a West Coast Saban. He and Shaw are the best coaches east of the Mississippi. TN deserves this guy.

Washington ending up getting him, which tells me it could have been done before. Washington was not stocked up on recruits etc when he got there , so he’s not afraid of a challenge. Give this man our resources and see what he can do

Saw an article somewhere about that. Something like 2013 just felt like the right time for him to move on. Year too late I guess. Thanks Dooley.

Saban and Meyer are among the top elite coaches in the country. Chris Petersen is in that group.
