SIAP but I just saw this.. In regards to Peterson..
"JAV says we have had contact with him. Brad hensley (whoever that is on TOS) says that his agent contacted us 2 weeks before butch was fired. Says his agent wants to move him and that he does not get along well with their AD. In a side note his buyout is only 1.2 - 1.5 mil and he only makes around 4 mil per year there. That would give us some room to give him a raise. Also says that we have had at least 2 face to face meetings that he knows of with Scott Frost with one of those being when our plane was tracked to Tampa last week."
He is a walk off grand slam hire that is the only candidate I would put over Gruden. One of my favorite coaches. JAV did say we had some contact with him. Perhaps he wants to be at a pace that takes football more seriously
This coach is better than Nick Sabin imho. If he had our roster last season he would have a national.
From the Gruden thread:
Offer him $6.5 - 7 and give him the same assistant coach budget that is rumored in Grumors and this is the Grand Slam hire!

FWIW it has been stated on this board that those medical needs are no longer in the picture.
And? How about University blowing 340+ million on Neyland. Dont buy the cart before you buy the horse.Pac-12s highest-paid coach? Its not Huskies Chris Petersen | The Seattle Times
