i like peterson and his offense but would it work in the SEC? i mean i know he has beat some high profile schools such as oklahoma but how would it work playin teams like florida and bama on a regular basis? im not trying to bash him (so please dont bash me) i would just like to hear others opinions on this:hi:

Everyone knows he's a pretty good coach but he's also flying on the leftovers Dan Hawkins built. The million dollar question is can he go into these kids homes and steal them away from the Meyers, Sabans, Richts, Tubervilles, Miles, Etc. That i'm not so sure about.

your crazy if you think we should hire butch davis,he proved he couldnt cut it in the NFL what makes you think he'll cut it now.I dont even want to get close to hiriring him.Chris is our BEST option!

Carroll & Saban & Spurrier couldn't cut it in the NFL either. Do your research before you say something stupid. Some coaches are just bred for the college game. I would bet my house Chris Peterson wouldn't last 3 yrs in the NFL.

Jim Levitt is a great option as well. There are so many, Fulmer just needs to go. He's done a lot for Tennessee and I respect the man a lot. He's done his duty and its time for him to move on.

this would be my #1 pick only problem is i bet it would be hard to get him....didnt bama offer him the job there before they got saban? i may have been misinformed i dunno

I have the same reservations, as Boise State is the house that Hawkins built in many respects. Having said that, Urban Meyer only spent two seasons a piece at Bowling Green and Utah. I suppose one could argue that he was thriving off the talent left by other coaches, but he we all know how he's doing at UF.

I don't think there's anything wrong with taking a chance. Petersen is young, energetic, and seems to me to be a smart football coach. Those are the things we need.

I know he could DEFINETLY compete, the recruits would come swarming I believe.I mean hes a GREAT coach and has a successful reputation.

I think Peterson has a done a decent job, but I think Lane Kiffin might be a decent option if CPF is let go. Young guy, probably has a good read on how to recruit and definitely a plus in that he knows what it takes for a player to make it in the pros, which is another big recruiting tool.

I can't see the recruits swarming but he's a good coach. I wouldn't say he was great. A great coach will take a crappy team and make them good. Peterson has taken a team that was already good and just maintained it. Either way whomever UT hires must be a thought out process or we could end up like Bama and be in trouble for years before we find the right guy. That is if Fulmer is even on the HOTSEAT.

i like the defensive-minded Will Muschamp
-he's only 37
-he won the 2007 Broyles Award as the nations best assistant...the defenses he guided at LSU and Auburn were scary
-he can make UT feared for its D again
Will's never been an HC before, but feared defenses can take you a long way in the SEC Will Muschamp - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Would bounce to Georgia as soon as there is an opening.

and don't count om Jim Leavitt, the coach from FAU is winning some, the FL talent pool is ridiculous.

If you don't go to UF, FSU and Miami...which school is next. Remember it is not only about football, you also need the grades to get in to those top tier schools.

Screw Peterson, he is living off of Dan Hawkins success. Hawkins built them.

Hawkins isnt as smart as Petersen for one thing, maybe if you watched some of their games you would know that. Plus Boise has got a QB just like we do,but I dont see any problems. So maybe you should think first before you say something stupid like that.

He coaches at USF...Not leaving that situation.

Chris Peterson or Lane Kiffin is a good selection, but I am curious about the people around him more then just whom is the HC. I think Ken Norton Jr. with the USC ties for Kiffin's OC and Peterson maybe takes a look at keeping Clawson.
