"Per sources with direct knowledge of the proceedings, FulmerÂ’s next round of talks is set to include, but not be limited to, WashingtonÂ’s Chris Petersen and Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt."

From Gridiron Now.

Thank goodness!

Unlikely? Yes, but his name keeps being thrown around so I thought it would be fun to see the approval rating.

Petersen is in another stratosphere compared to all the other names being thrown around. To me, if there is even the slightest chance he should have gotten a call from day 1.

Why not at least make the call? Either way, vote away.

Would be great, but he continues to say he is not interested. Pipe dream.

Aged 53

too old

no Nattys, either.

only 9 double-digit win seasons in the last 12-years - should have won more given the talent pool in Boise and Washington

:)

Can someone post the gif of Petersen getting mouthed off to by a player and ripping into him? ItÂ’s awesome.

If jimbo is worth 75 over 10 then i dont think id even bat an eye at 80 over 10 for Petersen. He finally gets a chance at a barely top 20-25 power 5 school and has them in the playoffs in year two. If that guy had a UT, Texas, Florida, LSU, Georgia, OSU or the like he would very likely build a Sabanesque dynasty. Top 3 coach overall in the nation as far as ability and getting the most out of players in my humble opinion.

If Jimbo got 10 x 7.5 then I would be crazy enough to go 10 x 10 for Peterson

It would take that kind of Godfather deal to get him, but he would easily return that kind of investment.

Just reported Fulmer is scheduled to speak with Petersen soon!!

Fulmer spoke with Steele in Atlanta as both where in town for the SEC Championship Game. I’m being told it remains “likely” that if Miles or Steele are named head coach, both would add former Vols’ star quarterback and current USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin to the staff.

Per sources with direct knowledge of the proceedings, FulmerÂ’s next round of talks is set to include, but not be limited to, WashingtonÂ’s Chris Petersen and Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt.

Petersen has coached the University of Washington to a 37-16 record over the past four seasons, including double-digit wins the past two years. The Huskies played in the College Football Playoff last season and were invited to the Fiesta Bowl this year.

Would like to see a fresh young face at the helm.
Chris would probably be a good one.
Let him choose his assistants.
