Chris Low's Top 10 SEC Freshman

No Rod Wilks? His powers allow him to transcend all classifications so he can be a Freshman, Sophmore, JUnior and Senior even if he is in a nursing home! Just a shame!

Wow no BB or JJ?

I can understand no BB due to Hardesty getting most of the work, but leaving off JJ is ridiculous. I assume he probably did not include JJ due to the off the field issues, but that did not take away his performance from this past season. (It may have one questioning if he will remain on campus until he graduates or leaves early for the NFL, but that's not what this top 10 was predicting.)

Jackson missed 3 games and Low built his list on stats and PT. The APY stat is a media stat made for the stupid.

Richardson and McCalebb were the best freshmen runners. Jackson was the best defender.

Ealey didn't start playing at all until aftet the Tennessee game.... PT didn't seem to be TOO much of a criterion.

Good point. Further proof that Low is a sports idiot.

That's probably why the OP, a self proclaimed former collegiate and professional ballplayer (like that's some intelligent control group), reads the crap: birds of a feather.

Can someone tell me why Bryce Brown deserves to be on that list? He was the 4th best freshman RB in the SEC this season and they had the other 3 on the list.

Janzen Jackson, however, deserves to be on that list without a doubt.

The top 3 backs were not on that list.

There where 3. I guess you think that someone else was better?? I would agree. Giles was the third best. Brown actually comes in about 5th. He was not the second best RB on his own team. The kid at UT they sat that will be transfering. Sad that the kid got treated that way. I hope he moves on and has a great career. He was by a mile better than Brown.

You're lost. Reading comprehension might help you. I definitely think someone else is better. I said so. I think your Fulmer slurping is a pathetic excuse for what you term analysis. Guess that's why personnel guys aren't often former players.

You mean a RB on a 2-10 team with no other offensive weapons lead all freshman in rushing yards? I wonder how many yards Bryce would have if he got the rock 30 times a game on a piss poor team? Just think, he would be going against everyone's second and third string in the second half once they went down by 4 TD's.

Low had Herman Lathers on his freshman All-SEC team. I could give a crap who he thinks the top 10 freshmen are.

Jackson missed three games, so I would think this eliminated him from consideration.

Brown was not among the best Freshman RB's in the conference. Sorry, but Norman from Vandy broke a H. Walker record and the RB at Alabama and Auburn both had more rushing yards.

Agreed. But, now way no how is Washaun Ealey ( not sure that is how you spell it, rb for GA) as good as BB.

Agreed. Neither is the kid from Vandy. When poles of your yards are KO returns from roughly 274 attempts, it's a sham.

I understand you guys being upset about Brown and Jackson... but they weren't even the best Freshman on UT's roster.

How Douglas can be named a Freshman AA and not make the list of the best Freshmen in the SEC is beyond me.

No they didn't. The kid from Vandy can't play with either Richardson or McCalebb.

Although I think Richardson and McCalebb are more gifted and better overrall, the 3 kick returns for TDs is pretty impressive along with almost 2000 all-purpose yards. Wouldnt be fair to Norman to put someone with much less stats ahead of him IMO.
