I don't know about Florida, but I've mailed it in for the season. I'll watch the Florida and Vanderbilt games while flipping channels between other games with CFP implications, but my emotional investment ended once we lost to Oklahoma and were eliminated from playoff contention.

I expect to get flamed and many will disagree, which is fine. I invest time and thousands of dollars into the program every year to see them compete for a national championship, and hope springs eternal every season. Once that part is over, I turn my focus to next year and the games become something to pass the time while we transition to basketball season.

We can't get a better coach at UT at the moment. We just can't. First, they are not there to hire. Second, we're not a premier destination for football as our last title was 1998.

This "if he can't beat FL he needs to go" talk is childish posturing. We can't find his replacement.

This is it right here.. It's unfortunate but the reality is that we do not have a better prorgram right now compared to the Florida and LSU. IF Heupel was fired, the top job candidates on the market are going to LSU, Florida before Tennessee.

We will beat Florida by 10-14 points. I think it is easier for Florida to get charged up for the Ole Miss game on the road than to play us at home. They dont consider us a rival anymore and Kiffin has been tied to the UF coaching search. Lagway has multiple turnovers and we pull away in the 4th.

TN has not won in the swamp since 2003. Just let that sink in. I hate when sports media talks trash on a team with as much talent as UF has. While UF did fire their coach. They are still loaded in some areas. Ole Miss only won at home by 10 against a UF team that Lowe thinks has quit. I am not saying crap about this game. While Joey has impressed at times. He is a INT machine. Almost guaranteed to give up at least 1 game. Gave up 2 against NM ST.

Yes, and that's not to say UT won't be a better job at some point, but the Pruitt crap and years of coaching turnover have dulled our edge.

Heupel almost certainly isn't "the next Saban" but he's actually the best we could have hoped for after Pruitt AND he's won under really tough circumstances.

Will he peak and plateau at about 9-10 wins and a CFP appearance every 3 years or so? Maybe but that's better than most SEC coaches.
