Chris Low thinks Florida may have mailed it in

after seeing the game today and seeing Florida play, I'm not sure Huepel has the coaching chops to win next week which is the most depressing thing I've thought all day that my Vols after 5 years of Heupel are still hopeless.

South Carolina hasn’t mailed it in. The Aggies backs are against the wall early. Teams are still fighting, despite some folks ridiculous claims. GBO
They’re still getting paid. You’d have to be as immature as Boo Carter to stop showing up with NIL paying 6 to 7 figures.

If someone else on your team quits, that’s more earning opportunity for next season. Got to look out for #1.

If he doesn't, he needs to go.

Florida doesn't whine about playing in Neyland.

Georgia doesn't shrivel up about playing in Neyland.

Alabama doesn't whine either (although they may start to).

Time for our program (including fans) to grow up and stop all this nonsense about not beating rivals on the road. Florida has blown Tennessee out many times in Neyland. That is what programs that get to the next level do. We need to do that if we want to get to the next level and stop being a trash can, mediocre SEC program.

We lose here and Vandy could be playing us for the playoffs….for them.

I would say our team will come out ready but in big games lately we come out flat.

Nice sentiment but if "he needs to go" you're implying we can hire a coach who will be more successful at UT than Heupel.

So....... who would that be?

Yeah, that list is pretty short so at some point you count your blessings instead of make "he needs to go" statements.

If a coach can't figure out how to beat a coach-less Florida team, he isn't a good coach. UK has won 3 of the last 4 against them.

Hopefully, they come out as the Florida that got blown out by Kentucky. Not the Florida that is testing Ole Miss right now, took Georgia to the limit and beat Texas.

The way Lagway is throwing the ball though is very concerning.

Conveniently not answering because you can't.

Where's this coach we want and need who can do better than Heupel?

It's easy to say "he needs to go" ain't it? Now, who needs to come to the Hill?

Pretty much every Florida coach because they can do it to us. Even the bad ones...

To be honest, I think Heupel is going to win it because he is a GOOD coach.

By the way, I can list one coach right now. Mark Stoops. He has won 3 of the last 4 against Florida and just beat this Florida team 38-7.

If Heupel can't win, he isn't as good as Stoops.

Then why the criticism if you think we will win? If we go to the the Swamp and beat the team giving Ole Miss all the want on the road that will be a very good win despite their record.

But if he doesn't "he needs to go" is not a mature sentiment, which was my point.

We can't get a better coach at UT at the moment. We just can't. First, they are not there to hire. Second, we're not a premier destination for football as our last title was 1998.

This "if he can't beat FL he needs to go" talk is childish posturing. We can't find his replacement.

Florida is dog crap. It would, literally, be Heupel's worse loss at Tennessee if he losses next week. I don't think he has lost to a team with a losing record yet (well maybe Florida in 2023).
