Chris Low slams Fulmer & co

NOT
Tennessee tailback Arian Foster: Crippling fumbles will tarnish an otherwise stellar career. He had another one against UCLA that totally changed the complexion of that game.

ICE, ICE BABY
Tennessee's coaching staff: Not the best start for Phillip Fulmer and Co. New offensive coordinator Dave Clawson had first-year starter Jonathan Crompton throw the ball 41 times. The defense played soft in coverage and never adjusted to UCLA's short passing game in the second half, and how many touchdowns do the Vols need to give up on special teams before they hire a full-time coordinator?

Pretty much dead on.

I'm sure they're plenty angry about it. But being angry about it has about as much of a point as a car with no gas.

Agree 100%.

It seems to be a recurring theme. Take a lead into the second half, back off, let the opposition get 10 yards at a time, then try to win late in the 4th or overtime.

I wish I was a multi millionaire and pay Fulmer enough money to retire from coaching. He is a cancer to the program and if he doesnt retire soon then will be not going to a bowl game this year. This team has 2005 written all over it.

2005...ehhh...it was the first game.

We didn't play good at all on offense, pretty much Crompton's fault, but the defense played good in the first half.

Games we should win:

UAB, Northern Illinois, Wyoming, Miss St, Vandy, Kentucky.

That's 6 wins right there. If this team can make a complete 180 we could possibly win 9-10 games this year. Just depends on if the right changes are made. And no I don't mean fire anyone.

And I'm as guilty of that as anyone this year. Normally I don't go into the season feeling overly confident, but I honestly felt like UCLA could not stay on the field this year. In fact, I think I may have predicted a UT win 41-17 :ermm:

Everybody I've talked to is pissed.
I'd be interested to know if the players, particularly on defense, feel like they did what the coaches told them to do by executing the game plan. I think everyone expects a few penalties and a turnover or two per game, particularly the first game of the season but I am wondering if the players feel like this loss is on them or not.
