Chris Low: "Lane Kiffin setup Bryce Brown to fail."

great. another person thinking their ideals are superior. This would be like me telling everyone not to respect their elders.

I don't have anything to prove to you but I would think that respecting your elders is an international belief that many cultures hold very dear to their hearts and it used to be a widely held belief here in the US. I'm sorry but I don't understand your point of view. Anyways, have a good night and wake-up refreshed for a new day. :)

excellent transition guys. Much appreciated.

Love,

Volnation

It's amazing how many of these threads quickly move to a social/economic/political commentary debate. Personally I blame Dooley for this situation. With closed practices we have nothing else to discuss. If only he respected his elders (i.e. lifelong vol fans) then this situation would be different. What a youngster!

BB I will never forget that amazing cut back you made last year that ended up going 56 yards for a touchdown.

I will also never forget that amazing run where you broke 2 tackles and ran 36 yards for a touchdown.

You were amazing BB.

Oh, wait a minute. I'm thinking of a different player.

The BB deal sort of reminded me of Gerald Riggs. He was supposed to win the Heisman, too. I wish BB the best, but agree that Poole will be better as an every down back for us. Kiffin used BB to show any future recruits that he would give them the opportunity if they came to UT. GBO!

Couldn't be more different situations. Gerald, or "G" as we called him, hurt his ankle against Soddy Daisy in HS and lost something, then "worked like heck" to get every inch of power, every bit of quickness and explosiveness, then blewup the ankle on a run he busted outside for about 13 or so iirc against Alabama. Two plays later, C Anderson, I believe, fumbles and we give up the ball, Gerald never runs the same again.

I drank the Kiffin cool-aid like most of you...But...I now think it is worth loseing Brown to be rid of Kiffin because he was a liar and a cheater and the NCAA would have built a branch office in Knoxville had he stayed!

Yep, we've reached a new high for ignorance. Bravo!

You have the ability of an ant in judging talent. The kid is about as solid as you get in the character department and was injured all of last year in some way or another. On top of all of that, he was playing behind an absolute stud RB. Kiffin played the best players ... bottom line.

Whose judging talent? I was just thinking about someone else who had a couple of break away runs. It's not my fault BB never broke a single tackle for a big gain the whole season. Is that my fault too?

You have no clue what you're talking about.

Tennessee Volunteers Statistics - College Football - ESPN

Check out Brown's longest run (37 yards) and Poole's longest run (34 yards). Just so you know, 37 > 34.

First of all, that's just a dumb argument in general. Second, you're not even right in your dumb argument.

Dont worry about Brown. Poole is a more ellusive back and Williams and Oku are there in need of a change of pace back. Poole will go for over 1,000 you can count on that if our O line comes around.

Am I the only one that thinks Oku would be the $h!t when giving the chance?

Comparing BB and Poole is stupid. I could see discussing it if they had an equal amount of carries and hold on to your hats were competing for the starting job this year.
I am glad Poole handled this like a man and didn't quit like so many kids do.

Chris Low is not exactly correct 100% of the time. Who knows who would've started this year? But, Kiffin obviously felt like Brown was better than Poole last year. Also, how does Low know that Kiffin saying that screwed him up? How about the fact that Brown had a hip pointer and was running behind a GREAT running back? It doesn't have to be a drama deal, but Low always seems to make it one.

Yes, Low offers a lot of speculation and is wrong about as much as he is right. Not very impressive as an analyst or sports journalist.

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around, does it still make a sound? That, also, is something to ponder. We'll probably never know the answer to either question.

yes, and yes again. Now we dont have to ask either one anymore.

In order for sound to occur 3 things must happen;there must be a source to produce the sound(tree),a medium that sound can travel thru(air) and a reciever to hear to the sound(no one). If any one of the 3 is missing there is no sound(no one heard the tree fall thus no sound). One of the first things I learned in sonar technician school when I was in the Navy.

I usually disagree with C Low.
But think he has a little bit of a point. I always found it funny at the games BB was named a starter and not once did he get the first carry.

All the running backs have had to be patient. Hardesty had to wait and so would have BB. He had so much potential and still does but patience it appears is not one of them.

I think Williams gives Poole a run for his money..I know we have seen very little of Williams but,he was the most explosive in the meaningless O&W game.I think it all depends on how well the surgery/recovery turns out.If it turns out back to 100% I could see him taking it...

Brown has not made his final discision yet he will make it at the end of the spring term to stay or to go is what coach Dooley reported that is the way I took it. I mean if the reports are true about his father I think he goes, but their is a 50/50 chance he could stay.
