I was messing around on the computer and found out that he was a 2 star wr and cb that was going to play both sports. I know he is a better bp but i didnt know he played football to. Not bad stats as a wr or cb either. now this is not a debate whether he should have played both sports because he chose the right one

As a fan i like football more than basketball but I can't wait to see UT basketball this year. I am glad Chris chose basketball over football. He has made Pearl's job much easier am sure.

While living just a few miles West of Bloomington here in Indiana and keeping track of the Hoosiers football team more the last couple of years thanks to Terry Hoepner (God Bless him...now that guy could motivate), I have noticed James Hardy...I'll wait while you look up the stats...He went from a BBall starter to WR...he has EXFRICKINPLODED on the football field this year...who knows what might have been...

He made the right choice end of story. Guess there are some out there who are wishing he had made the other choice.

Its amazing how many of the big players in basketball, also played football as well. Lofton, Ainge, Meachem, Paulus (duke bball, got recruited as a ND QB) Look at Donovan McNabb, Matt Jones. Ricky Williams got drafted by the Royals, Dan Marino also was a star pitcher in baseball, as was Elway. Jeff Francoueur was a very talented and recruited footbal player. This list could go on and on.

the ultimate, Bo jackson. Believe he's the only one in both the football and baseball hall of fame.

He was the first to ever have an All-Star season in both sports, but I don't believe he's in the HOF for either sport

so do yall think Lofton will see some action at receiver against UGA?, because at this point we kinda need him

I wouldn't be surprised. The thing is, we'd put him in and it'd be like all our other "trick plays." He'd go across the middle and every db would be all over him 'cause they know we're throwing it to him. (a la Crompton's sneak, Vinson's reverse, O'Neal's reverse, O'Neal's bomb, and the ever-famous Eric Locke debacle)

Jeff Smardzia, whatever his name that was @ ND. He is now pitching for the Cubs. Brent Vinson was all-state in basketball and held Duke Crews to like a season low 6 pts or something like that. Todd Helton also comes to mind.
